My husband and I visited here with our toddler. Super cute atmosphere and the reviews were good so we definitely wanted to try them out. I got the Belizean breakfast and he ordered the Heuvos Rancheros. My husband normally loves this dish but was disappointed when our server brought out a plate of what looked like tomato soup sprinkled with cheese on top of a fry jack. He knew upon looking at it he wouldn’t like it but still took a bite to give it a fair chance. He confirmed that he didn’t like it and I encouraged him to just get the Belizean breakfast like myself - always a safe option. When our server checked on us we let her know we wanted to get the Belizean breakfast instead, to which she let us know that we’d still have to pay for the first dish - even though she was holding it in her hand. We didn’t make a fuss of it. Paid our bill but unfortunately that affected her tip. Someone also came out to check on us after they brought us the second choice, manager maybe? He was also nice enough, but again no attempt to remove the cost of the dish we did not eat/enjoy.
That, plus the bacon was very obviously not fresh. They advertise a selection of natural juices, but only had orange juice.
If you just want a cool spot to enjoy the weather/vibes, I’d say this place is...
Read moreWe had read the reviews before we stopped here but it looked so relaxed and laid back and frankly had gotten me wanting waffles the whole time we were here but this was our last morning on the island for this trip. Just had to remember cash. The coffees we had were decent...hers was hot and mine was iced. Again decent but we thought a breakfast place would blow us away - it didn't. And they were smaller glasses as well. My waffles were ok and the syrup is not thick. The eggs and bacon that came with it was the star of the meal. Tried to communicate that we needed corn tortilla for gluten sensitivity but that ended up being no meat on my wife's meal. So I had to share my bacon. It was a nice morning stop. The traffic was light and it is right across from the truck stop. I would probably go for the fryjacks next time, but we will have to wait for that...
Read moreAnother fine Belizean example of a small, family owned restaurant that puts out excellent food! I’ve had breakfast there a couple times and the food is fresh, hot and the portions are massive. I’m a 220 pound man that can eat and their breakfast burrito was two meals for me! My girlfriend had the stuffed breakfast fryjack and that was a double meal for her too. The service was very friendly. We did have to wait a little bit as our meals were prepared fresh but it was well worth it. The prices are very reasonable and with the exchange rate being two Belizean dollars to one US it ends up being a great bargain. Just make sure to bring cash as they’re not set up for plastic but do accept either Belizean or US currency. I’ll definitely be having more...
