Rum Dog Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Belize District

This is a must visit spot! Rum Dog has a wonderful location over the water. They’re kind of tucked behind some housing and other businesses, so you could potentially miss them. The service was fantastic! Very friendly, welcoming and family oriented! We were a group of 6, with one being a minor. The adults were getting ready to take our last “goodbye Belize” shot when one of the waiters noticed the minor in our group was using Coke- he brought him over a non-alcoholic shot for him so he could participate with us. Such a joy to see the staff cared about their customers on a more personal level. Between our group we had the Rangoon Nachos, Pulled Pork Loaded Fries, the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese, the Rum Dog Club, and the Chicken Nachos- everything cooked perfectly! My girlfriend and I stop by here for dinner and a few beers after having spent the day out on an excursion mainly based on the recommendation from my cousin who had been down to Belize earlier that year. The atmosphere and the scenery was beautiful the service was great we had several different employees come up and asked if we need it or wanted anything and we only got the smoked wings but they were delicious. We really enjoyed speaking with Jonathan who was the manager. He sat there and talked with us for about 15 minutes and was just so chill. Everybody that worked there made you feel like you've been there before and they were glad to see you coming back. This place must win on atmosphere alone due to the ocean surround because the service is terrible and the prices are sky high! Our waiter NEVER checked on us, unfortunate for him because we would have ordered another hundred+ dollars worth of drinks alone, especially since we waited over an hour for our food. Everyone was so thirsty and the bar wasn't even busy. I ordered ceviche and when he asked if I wanted "shrimp, fish, or lobster?"
