Read moreMy partner and I were looking forward to a nice morning breakfast together and decided to visit this establishment after reading positive reviews. Upon our arrival the experience went down hill. The hostess was very kind and proceeded to walk is to a table until we learned the table was reserved. Totally understand. The owner then asked if we wanted a smaller table near the cabana which we agreed to. We loved the seating and atmosphere of the place but we were immediately turned off by the owner coming over less than a minute from seating is to ask if we were ready to place our order. Well, given the 60 seconds that passed we didn't get a chance to review the menu. We ordered mimosas in the interim. When she came back with our drinks she wanted to know our order, when ordering my dish she informed me of the 15 minutes it would take for my dish to arrive. Okaaayy... It's Sunday brunch and the food needs to cook. 15 minutes isn't an unreasonable wait for cooked food. The feeling of being rushed and unwelcome quickly set it. The entire place was full of people enjoying a leisurely Sunday brunch. We're my partner and I not welcome to do the same? It didn't feel that way. I made my concerns known to the owner and her husband. They apologized. My review is to bring attention to intent vs. impact. While their intent may not have been to intentionally be rude to a customer the impact however was quite the opposite. My partner and I spent a full month in Belize and had a wonderful experience, sadly this was not a part of...
Read moreThe service was excellent. Staff was very nice and friendly. Quaint little spot shared by bed and breakfast vacationers. The food was terrible. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else after ordering breakfast here to actually get a hot plate of food. It's a very small spot with a small kitchen that only had 1 cook that day. We sat at the high bar table area and could see right in. Eggs were made first and sat waiting for the pairings while a fly pitched on it. Our entire breakfasts came out cold except the fry jack which was horrible. Kitchen needs better management to get the flow of food out fresh and hot to customers. For example, place the eggs covered in the microwave or a warmed oven until ready for the other pairings. Hot foods being served cold is a...
