For two nights in a row we had an AWESOME experience with Elvin as our bartender!! The drinks were fantastic and the conversation was easy. There was no live music, but that was ok. After having been a visitor to the island countless times over a decade, I was looking for a laid back place to introduce two newbies to San Pedro. We gladly chose South Station, but were bummed to learn that Elvin was not working on the night of our friends' arrival.
We stopped by anyway as a group of four and had food and drinks. The bartender was friendly, made suggestions for substitutions when necessary, and placed our food orders. Upon completion of our meals and drinks, we asked for the check. We were overcharged for two items. That should've been a signal for me to be on guard. When brought to his attention, he quickly made the adjustment. We were prepared for the cash only environment and I calculated the bill for each of us. I collected everyone's currency, mostly US dollars. I recounted three times and noticed there was a pretty hefty gratuity. My friends were fine with it and handed him the folder with cash and the check as I went to the washroom. Upon my return, we bid the bartender and another patron good night, gathered our belongings and headed to our vehicle.
The bartender approached us with only the currency in hand. He said we were short 26BZ. I assured him I had counted it three times and we had given him 380BZ which more than covered our bill. He insisted that what he had in hand was all that we gave him. He didn't bring the folder nor check, only the cash. My friend gave him more than the 26BZ, but didn't want to wait for the change. She had accompanied me on the previous two visits and was thoroughly shocked by this experience, as was I.
There are cameras all around the establishment, and upon management reviewing them, I will gladly write a retraction. Until then, I will not return to this location and suggest others avoid unless Elvin is behind the bar. As an added note, I attempted to reach out to management via their website. To date, I have received no contact. So...

Pool table available free of cost and enough contenders to make the night enjoyable considering the price of drinks. Food is also available at a reasonable price. Just ask. Atmosphere is pretty much conducive to low...
Read moreGreat friendly place! My husband and I had a drink there a few times during our stay at the Ambergris Lake Villas next door, plus a delicious smoothie. On our 1st visit, Eli (not exactly sure of his name) let us try a few of his all natural juices and natural coco sugar, so delicious! This new bar opened a couple months ago, we certainly wish them the very best success. Cheers...
