This restaurant and bar atop the Alaia Resort is worth a special trip no matter where you are staying!
They have a wide array of mainly sushi and seafood menu items to pair with an extensive cocktail list.
We happened to be there on a Thursday night when they offered two menu items and all you can drink for two hours for just $30 USD per person. There were 5 food items and 6 drink options (including two beers) to select from.
We decided on the shrimp tacos and crispy prawns for our food - both were large portions and delicious, although we preferred the prawns. We also ordered a crispy surf & turf roll that was good but not as good as the other items. The cocktails were all unique and good.
The restaurant itself sits on the 6th floor rooftop of the Alaia Resort. It offers stunning views of the sea and the property. It also has a pool on the roof with glass circles in the bottom that allow you to see to the ground. Really cool Finally, they had a live DJ spinning music. It rained the night we were there so business was slow but it had a very South Beach vibe.

Read moreMy wife and I stayed the week at Alaia and enjoyed heading up to the Vista Rooftop several times when we wanted to relax, enjoy the views, drinks, and swim on the roof top. Good outdoor lounge area and nice rooftop pool which was fun that it had some glass circles at the bottom of the pool as you are swimming you can stand on or swim over and look down below to the hotel entrance. We also tried some synchronized swimming, probably didn’t look great but hope some of the guests got a laugh out of it! We brought our goggles up there as well and waved to people walking by below. Kind of fun and different! We don’t drink alcohol, but we enjoyed the drinks virgin style and were excellent. We always stopped by after eating dinner in town so we didn’t have a chance to order food, but other guests told us it was the best sushi they had while on the Caye. Very nice, engaging staff, and guests. Even if you aren’t staying at Alaia, it’s a good place to go check out! Elevator access from the hotel lobby or Sea Glass restaurant. They are currently open...
Read moreOne of our most disappointing meals. My friend and I chose this our first night arriving in San Pedro, Belize. We were staying on the property, saw the photos of food and read the reviews. When we arrived up-top with a reservation., there were only a few tables occupied. I did notice they were having a private party in one of the rooftop room. It was a ghost town, a couple servers walking around. Someone spotted us and sat us at a high top.
We waited for a while until someone showed up to ask us if we wanted drinks. We placed our order along with White Fish Ceviche, Crispy Rice and a Shrimp Tempura Roll. Drinks were very OK, a lot of ice, no taste. The Ceviche was a lot of filler hardly any fish, the Roll was horrible, like the tempura shrimp was premade sitting around. The crispy rice was OK, though the rice was very oily for my taste. And again service was lacking no one checked on us. Overall very disappointing.
Atmosphere: Nice rooftop, adult only. Service:...
