We had a truly mixed experience at this restaurant. The vegan curry was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and well-spiced. However, the service and handling of our order left a lot to be desired.

We ordered a vegan burrito bowl, but it arrived with chicken. When we pointed this out, the waiter casually said it "must have fallen in" and reluctantly agreed to fix it. What we got back was clearly the same bowl with the chicken just picked out. When we noticed chicken in it again, we made it clear that this wasn’t acceptable. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff remained dismissive, calling it a "misunderstanding" rather than admitting the kitchen had messed up twice.

After taking the chicken back a second time, they did not come back to the table or tried to correct the mistake. Just a passive "are you done eating?" followed by presenting the bill with the incorrect dish still on it.

It was only after speaking to the owner that we finally got some real assistance. Kudos to her for stepping in, but it was strange to see how her own staff pushed back against her. (The staff demanded we pay the whole dish but the owner refused)

We started the meal surprised by how good the curry was but left surprised for entirely the...

Probably the best on the island for food. The value and service can't be beat. The portion sizes are perfect. I swear they might serve some of the best Nacho's I've ever had. And I have nachos on the pacific in LA, on the Atlantic 8n Canada and the golf in Miami, but these were a step above the rest. The kitchen is viewable from the street and you can see a team of lovely ladies working making things fresh for each order. The seating area is quite lovely with swings or traditional picnic benches beach side covered under thatch roof. The inside seating is also quite nice too. The servers were great. My friend and I loved it the so much there we returned it 4 times in the 1 over night we spent on the island. Would definitely go back...

Vegetarians REJOICE! I went in early November when most restaurants were closed and struggled to find vegetarian food that was filling. Most vegetarian dishes at other restaurants were made of garnishes with little to no thought. I was starving. We decided to stop by Barefoot Caribe and I was pleasantly surprised that they offered TOFU as a protein. I ordered their Coconut Curry with Tofu and it was DIVINE. My partner ordered the quesadillas, which is comfort food to him. For a simple dish, it was pretty tasty. We sat in front of the water and it was quite a chill vibe - at least on a Sunday night during off-season. If you're a vegetarian, check...

It's a cute restaurant on the beach with swing tables. My kids enjoyed sitting at the swing while eating. We ordered a few dishes: The burrito bow with chicken was good. The quesadilla with pineapple and chicken was very good. The conch ceviche was not good. The conch was chewy and the flavor was meh. I was expected a better ceviche from them . I also tried the conch soup, creamy with vegetables. It was ok. We also tried fried fish with rice. The fish was good but kinda small. In general it was not bad but with many choices, not sure if there is a wow element for being me back here.

This has to be one of the nicest places on the reef side of the island. I wish we would have tried their food but we only stopped in for a few drinks one night. While the bar/indoor dining looks nice we sat outside at one for the picnic tables that face the ocean and had a great time with some drinks and amazing view. The staff was very attentive even after we said we were not eating and made sure we were well served with drinks!
