If I can give 0 zero to this restaurant I would. My husband and I went to have lunch and at this restaurant the food was médiocre and eatable I ordered a fresh fish. I spoke with the waiter prior to placing the order he informed us that the minimum base price for a fresh fish started at $35 Belize dollars then it increases to 1 pound for 45 to 2 pounds etc. I Told him then that i wanted a 1 pound hog Snapper which he told me was $45 dollars. When our food arrived I told him that the fish was way below a pound he argued that it was a pound and that it was weighed by the chef in the bag. I told my husband lets just eat pay the bill and go. Soon after the host at the front a female came to us and asked if we were ready to pay. My husband responded we are ready to pay but reported that the fish we received was not 1 pound. First Let me mention that we go out deep sea fishing at least 2 times a week in Florida so we know what a 1 pound fish looks like. Secondly we have been eating Fried Hog fish every day from San Pedro to San Ignacio and here in Caye Caulker for over a week and half. The female waitress was extremely nasty not the mention my husband was trying to speak with the waiter and he literally just walked away. My husband requested to speak with the manager and was told that no manager will be able to talk with him. The waitress then blurted out loud if you dont pay i will call the police. The nerve of this waitress, so disrespectful and unprofessional. Despicable cannot describe the staff or treatment that we received. Note to the manager or owner of this establishment its just the principle of it all they see us as tourists so any fish despite the weight is a pound to them so they serve them and uncharge customers. We would never eat at any restaurant and not pay. We are responsible and respectful citizens furthermore we are visiting Caye Caulker we r not criminals for her to summoned the authorities. We simply asked to speak with a manager. It takes simple responses to proficiently communicate with customers. We felt belittled in this restaurant and will never return ever again nor recommend any family friends or colleagues...
Read moreWent here after a day of diving. They have there own dock so you can park your boat right there and head on into the restaurant.
Really cute atmosphere and vibe. You know your in the tropics with their décor and menu.
We started with conch fritters, they were very good, not chewy at all, very tender. I loved the dipping sauce, a creamy ranch like flavor.
One of us had the grilled chicken with a pineapple type gravy with a side of coleslaw and rice. The chicken was cooked perfect and had the right amount of spice but the pineapple gravy was weird to me, I don't like pineapple cooked, love it raw though, so my bad on ordering it. The slaw and rice were Meh. And the side vegetables looked and tasted like they came out of a frozen bag.
The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. Two of us ordered them and they were great.
Would I go here again? Yes, its got great views sitting right...
Read moreLiterally one of my favourite and most memorable meals I had during my visit!! First and foremost, being able to eat with the sound of waves 🌊 literally right next to you has to be one of the most relaxing experiences.
Their shrimp quesadillas were so so so amazing, we ended up ordering an extra round to the table!! The service was also great, our waiter was super attentive and made sure that we did not have to wait for any drinks or additional food orders.
I ordered the whole fish (prepared with mojo de ajo) and rice and beans, which came with this amazing gravy on the side - and this was what really what made Rainbow Grill excel over many of the other places we dined at.
I cannot wait to visit Caye Caulker again to go back to Rainbow Grill!!! They really are a...
