I recently returned to Devil’s Isle CafĂ© for a working lunch with colleagues, following an excellent breakfast experience earlier in the week. That initial visit featured perfectly prepared eggs and toast complemented by an outstanding brewed coffee—enough to prompt a repeat visit. For our lunch, we opted for the patio. Our server—a courteous Filipina on a six-month Bermuda placement—set an exemplary standard of hospitality. She engaged in considerate conversation, suggested notable sightseeing opportunities for the remainder of our trip, and ensured we felt genuinely welcome. The menu delivered on every front. I chose the shrimp salad, which combined grilled shrimp with couscous and fresh greens—a refreshing yet savoury dish that demonstrated clear attention to flavor balance and presentation. An iced mocha provided a suitably refreshing accompaniment on a warm afternoon. From the attentive, personable service to the well-executed cuisine, Devil’s Isle CafĂ© consistently meets the expectations of business travelers seeking quality dining and reliable service. I will certainly schedule future client and team meals here and can recommend the establishment to both local professionals and visiting colleagues.

Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere. I visited on a Sunday afternoon for a late brunch, they weren't too busy, but definitely not quite, just the right number of people. The staff were really friendly and even apologised for a delay in the service (even though I didn't think there was one). The menu has all the food allergens shown and has a little stop clock next to items which take a bit of time to cook. I had the Avocado Bake which was fabulous, and I couldn't resist looking at the dessert menu, which lead to this amazing Banana Bread Pudding (I had to take a photo). Price was good for Bermuda, and even if it's a little higher you don't mind for amazing service and brilliant food. The other reason this restaurant will always be 5 star to me is it's inclusive. Bermuda doesn't have the best track record in being inclusive of the LGBT community, yet the Devil's Ilse Cafe, in the face of all the negative press, has put up the rainbows for Pride. Thank you đŸ˜đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ. If you live here, just visiting, or happen to find yourself lost in the Bermuda Triangle, the Devil's Ilse is a must!

I went to Devil's Isle with my family last week and we had the BEST experience - top to bottom. The food was delicious, and we had an array of diners with different preferences and restrictions - all of whom were very happy. My father said the fresh pasta with shellfish was one of the best seafood pasta dishes he ever had, and my mom said her monkfish special was the best dish she had while we were in Bermuda (and we went to many top-level restaurants!) The cocktails were beautiful and well-crafted, and most importantly - the service was warm, genuine, attentive and kind. The atmosphere was beautiful - cozy, well-decorated, and perfectly lit. We were pleasantly surprised by this high-level dining experience. We highly recommend Devil's Isle for anyone looking for a great culinary experience dining in Hamilton! My only regret: I didn't get a chance to go back to try the cafe in the morning!

I have the same feedback that the last person did - who ate there just four days before I did (last week). The $24 hamburger had a lot wrong with it. There was not much meat. The meat was gristly. Instead of arugula (the only topping provided), there was old stringy raw spinach - a substitution they did not tell me about, and that I was gagging on until I figured out what was going on. The bun was huge and stale. When I realised the spinach substitution I said something to the server. She said they had 'just' run out of arugula. I said I didn't like the spinach and perhaps I could have tomato instead. They brought two slices of tomato cut and refrigerated so many days ago it was mealy, nearly frozen, and falling apart. Inedible. After trying to soldier through nearly half the burger, I said I couldn't eat it any more. It was really one of the worst burgers I'd ever had - and at that astronomical price. The server muttered sorry to me, took my plate, and left. A moment later the manager appeared. I had not asked for her. She said - "you have something to tell me?" I reported the low quality of the burger to her. Instead of being helpful or gracious she was attacking and defensive. "No one has ever complained about a burger here, "she said. And, "You already ate some, if you are going to complain about a meal you have to send it back before eating it." And then, "You asked for tomato and we brought it to you." And finally, "This meal is already in our system"[whatever that means], "so we can't comp you and you have to pay for it." I had not asked for it to be comped. I explained to her, as patiently as aI could, that I have been a chef most of my life and that this was feedback for the establishment. It was really a terrible burger. I felt I had to do something to de-escalate the situation - how was I suddenly about to fight with a server over a terrible meal? I said that I was a regular customer, but would now think twice about coming back. She was so upset with me that she stormed off. After she left, the woman at the table beside mine turned to me and said - "That was very strange!" I thought so too. What a disappointment. I used to eat at Devil's Isle all the time. I am a local, and my friends and family eat here too. I will definitely think twice about coming back, or bringing guests here. I'm sorry if the establishment has struggled with covid, or changes of management, or shortages of arugula - or whatever the issue may be. But I do recommend you do some basic training in how to work with customers and complaints. A little more graciousness (and fair warning about substitutions) would...
