This is a massive restaurant that features a courtyard dining area as well as more tables on the second floor. You order with the cashier initially and then go and find a table somewhere. You place your receipt on the table and then a server comes around to grab the small QR code part of the receipt to bring you your order. Interesting process but it worked. We ordered the caldo (beef broth), pollo picante (spicy chicken), and santa clara (chicken). All of them were good but my favorite was the santa clara, it came in a different flatter shape with a little sugar sprinkled on the pastry. Aside from that I couldn't tell you what was the difference between the santa clara and regular chicken salteña fillings. All of the pastry doughs had a pleasant buttery sweetness that matched well with the fillings. Also, the horchata almendra...

Salteñeria El Patio is the go-to place to try the vegetarian salteña in town; it's absolutely exquisite. To secure a seat at the restaurant, it's advisable to arrive before 12:30am. Between 12:30am and 1:00pm, takeout orders are available, and please note that the restaurant closes at 1pm.

The vegetarian salteña, priced at only 6 bolivianos, is a steal. Ordering two makes for a satisfying and affordable lunch. The restaurant's patio is not only beautiful but also provides a relaxing ambiance.

Renowned in the city, Salteñeria El Patio attracts both locals and tourists alike. Don't miss the chance to indulge in this culinary gem—it's a must-visit spot for anyone seeking a delightful dining...

I am a big fan of their salteñas - I’ve tried their caldo (beef), pollo (chicken) and Santa Clara options, and I enjoyed all of the fillings. But the highlight is their pastry, which has a buttery crust - almost biscuity in texture. Best of all it’s served piping hot and fresh! Great ambiance and friendly service too. Highly...
