Very disappointing. As someone who lives locally, it saddens me that, while 90% of businesses here in Tijuca are decent and honest, 10% cannot resist the opportunity to rip off their customers. Restaurante Caçador is one such business. If you eat here, expect to pay higher prices than those listed on the menu. It leaves a bitter taste. My wife and I visited tonight for the first time. We eat out in Tijuca almost every day and have enjoyed many other local restaurants. The food in Restaurante Caçador was okay, they stocked an expensive beer I particularly like (Colorado Ribeirão Lager), and the prices seemed okay - a bit expensive but reasonable enough. Sadly, because of those 10% of dishonest businesses in Tijuca, my wife and I always check our bill. In 90% of businesses, everything is fine. If there is a mistake, they correct it immediately. In Restaurante Caçador, however, they are not even embarrassed by their attempt to rip you off. As you can see in the photo I uploaded of the receipt and menu, they billed us R$35,99 for the R$29.99 dish we ordered, Churrasquinho à Caçador, which is the dish we got. The receipt claimed we got Espetinho Cacador. We know that we did not order this because no such dish exists on the menu. We pointed out the problem to our waiter but he was resolute that, even though we had ordered the churrasquinho from him, and he did not deny that, we had received a more expensive dish and must pay for it. Okay. Beyond pointing out the mistake and asking them to correct it, my wife and I were too tired to get into a big argument. We knew that we were being ripped off, and the waiter knew too. As the owners of Restaurante Caçador know well, the vast majority of customers are not going to argue about being overcharged by R$ 6 + 10% mandatory tip. That is why they pull this scam. Again, 90% of businesses in Tijuca do not rip off their customers. We have dined many times at Conversa Fora na Brasa, a restaurant of roughly the same size directly across the Afonso Pena Square. They have never overcharged us, not even once. We also enjoy Bar Columbia on nearby Rua Haddock, who have better prices, friendlier waiters, and always bill the correct amount. Even the hot dog stand and beer truck on Afonso Pena Square are more honest than Restaurante Caçador. For us, it is about basic decency and respect for your customers. Restaurante Caçador has none. The most annoying thing is that if Restaurante Caçador were not so stupidly eager to rip off R$ 6,60, my wife and I would probably have become regulars - while the food is not as good as some other local restaurants, I do like that beer and we probably would have visited, for a bit of variety, about once a week. I am annoyed that their dishonesty means I cannot be their customer. The R$ 6,60 they ripped off from us is less than the profit they make on just one of those R$ 14,90 beers I like. Seriously, if they had simply resisted the urge to rip us off and pocket a few pathetic Reals, I would have bought a LOT of those beers over the coming years. Dishonest idiots.

The worst food I have ate in Brazil so far. Super overpriced, for R$150 we got a plate full of rice and fries, a little banana, taro and 2 very thin chicken slices, everything fried in an old oil ofc. The staff was not helpful at all, I have been feeling ignored all the time. Basically, for that money the only QUITE good think I had that dinner was the orange juice. I don't recommend this place to anyone!!!!

O mesmo me respondeu: bife, carre e linguiça.
