I was craving sushi and we were overwhelmed by the many options in leblon. We have a toddler and it was close to his bedtime, so we needed something quick, casual but solid food. We got exactly that, prices were decent and we were very pleased with our food - we had the tuna tataki (sliced a lot thicker then what I’m use to but non the less was buttery and silky sauce made with yolk and Sakura. We had different chef rolls - steak sushi, tuna, salmon - all which were presented nicely and tasted just as heavenly. Shrimp gyoza was a nice crispy treat - salty with a hint of sweetness in the sauce. We were a little disappointed in the cocktails - they looked so gorgeous here - every table had a pretty version off the menu but alas the taste is missing. Drinks lacked balance - too sweet and sticky, nothing fizzy or bitter to offset the syrup consistency. They need to work on that. Great service, super attentive - They handed me an English menu but I usually don’t need it since my Partner is fluent and speaks the language. We will be recommending this spot and coming back! Didn’t take photos, we were too...
Read moreI can’t really rate the food, because the hostess kept us waiting at least for 2 hours to hear from the same “can you UNDERSTAND THAT I DO. NOT HAVE TABLE FOR 6 PEOPLE?” Even though she had tables available for any other group of people. We had 2 botles of wine while waiting, and after this rudeness I right away asked for the check, paid and went to another restaurant. So disrespectful to a new customer, and very unprofessional. Hostess should make you feel welcome and not embarrassed. I have never been through a situation like that, but if I remember this hostess used to work at antique restaurant and she helped everyone that was coming after us and never greeted us, and set everyone else besides us. We left as well. I would highly recommend to go to Sushi Leblon if you want great Japanese cuisine and a good and friendly service. The hostess Taina should get some training and stop treating people like she’s the owner of the business and get some humbleness. Very unfortunate...
Read moreI came from NYC and gathered with some longtime Brazilian friends to visit Suibi, Unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating and terrible experience. We had a group of six people, and the hostess, Tayna, was extremely rude and very unprofessional, made us wait in line for about two hours. After finally ordering 2 bottles of wine and enduring another lengthy wait, Taina “abruptly” informed us that the restaurant couldn't accommodate our group and suggested we dine elsewhere. Although we couldn't sample the food, based on this experience, I believe Tayna should reconsider her career choice. It was meant to be a pleasant time with friends, yet we couldn't even order appetizers while waiting and had to seek another place to eat. I strongly advise against subjecting oneself to this unpleasant experience. Gratefully we found another restaurant and we had an amazing experience and...
