Zero star experience.
Terrible experience at this temakeria. I brought my father from Australia to try the sushi because I heard people saying the food was good.
Unfortunately, we didn’t even get to try the food.
We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a table. There were empty tables outside but we were told we couldn’t sit there because “only one waiter was working” and if we sat outside, it would “overload him.”
After waiting all that time, two ladies arrived with priority seating and were immediately seated, and then a couple who had been waiting less than 30 minutes was also called before us. At that point, we complained because four people had already been seated ahead of us. We asked if they could at least put tables together. The girl outside said she could ask the waiter inside to try serving us outside. Then, to make things worse, the waiter showed up bringing plates to where we were sitting on a BENCH outside by the entrance.
Absolutely unacceptable. Completely disorganized and disrespectful to customers who had been...
Read moreInteresting restaurant: good location, great staff. Very nice employees and went out of their way to accommodate me.
Not so sure they are a ‘traditional’ sushi restaurant. I’ve eaten in many, many sushi restaurants in Brazil, this one was different.
Everything came out all together: Miso was very cool and didn’t have any seaweed. No spoon, so I eventually got a tea spoon, certainly non-traditional. Bland, but had a few sliced scallions (same ones used to garnish the combo plate.?) What sushi restaurant the world over doesn’t serve ginger and wasabi? Ever heard of that one?
Edamame was good. Love the coarse salt!
Combo plate was ok. Sashimi tasted a bit off, only ate a few pieces (hope that doesn’t come back to haunt me!)
Took two tries to get a gin and tonic, which came out almost at the end of the meal) but was perfect.
Too many other sushi places in Rio, I would...
Read moreDISGRACEFUL place! We were blatantly scammed! We came with our family for dinner and ordered the standard menu — 150 reais per person. We agreed with the waiter (his suggestion!) that we would be served a bit of everything. First, they brought out some appetizers… then our waiter disappeared. And instead of the main dishes, they brought us the same appetizers again! NOT A SINGLE main course was served!
We called another waiter — waited over 20 minutes — and repeated our order. He confirmed everything… then vanished too! When the food finally came, it wasn’t even what we ordered. And the desserts? Never showed up!
In the end — we left hungry, frustrated, and completely disappointed. The evening was ruined, the mood was ruined, and our money was wasted. This is pure fraud and total disrespect for customers.
WARNING: This place is a SCAM! Don’t make the same...
