Read moreOkay, so I tried New Delhi Indian Restaurant in São Paulo, and honestly, I really wanted to like it. The chef and the server were absolutely lovely, so warm and welcoming. But unfortunately, the food just didn't deliver. The parathas, which I was really looking forward to, were incredibly oily. I mean, dripping. It was hard to even enjoy the flavor because of it. And sadly, that was just the beginning. The overall quality of the food was a big letdown. Everything tasted… off. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just wasn't good. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was in need of some serious TLC. The place was quite dirty, and it felt like it was falling apart. The hygiene wasn't great either, which made me a bit uneasy. It's a shame, because the staff were so kind and clearly trying their best. But at the end of the day, the food is what matters, and it just wasn't up to par. I really wish I could say something positive about the food, but I just can't. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can't recommend New Delhi Indian Restaurant. I really hope they can make some improvements, because the potential is there with the friendly service, but the food and the cleanliness really...
Read moreFood & drinks: We (2) ordered 2 curries, 1 rice, 2 naan breads, pistachio ice-cream and mango Lassi and this more than satisfied us.
What I loved: Eating the rice, Naan bread and curry all in one bite was perfect. The mango Lassi was also so tasty, like a mango milk with a flowery aftertaste. The pistachio ice cream was so creamy with a slight doce de leite taste. Yum!
The atmosphere: This was fine. No complaints. Clean restaurant.
Service: Very friendly staff. They were happy to provide more info, and they checked that our food was good! They also spoke english well.
Would I come back? Yes! Food was delicious. Best Indian restaurant in SP
