Restaurante Chinês Champs Elysées 香榭丽舍 — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

Sao Paulo is home to a large population of Chinese and we wanted to compare its dim sum to HK, NY, LA, London, Vancouver (winner!), Toronto, Guangzhou, Houston, Boston, San Francisco. We order the shrimp dumplings, steamed spare ribs, shrimp rice noodles, congee with pork and thousand year egg, Chinese broccoli and some steamed oysters just because. On 1 to 10, food here is about a 6. Either too salty (shrimp dumplings), under seasoned (everything else), or just generally prepared, uh - "unauthentically" or without knowledge of what the actual dish should taste like. Similar to "chef boyardee" vs Rao's or Il Mulino's. Frozen supermarket pizza vs any good NYC pizzeria. Chinese food cooked for a non-native pallet. As visitors from NYC, we thought that it was unusual that the entire restaurant, in Sao Paulo Brazil, was filled with Chinese people. Maybe it was our jaded Cantonese pallets being overly critical...

It's not a too expensive restaurant but it's not cheap neither. Although it's not worth spending money here because some dishes are small and there is nothing that you could not find in another Chinese restaurant. The decoration is exquisite but customers smoke inside and the management does nothing to avoid that even though smoking in internal areas is illegal in Sao Paulo city. Comida horrível, até comida de rua é mais fresca, as comidas que eles preparam parece que são restos estragados da cozinha, tinha cabelo também, atendimento péssimo, demora de mais de uma hora pra entregar as comidas, lugar com comidas caras, gente fujam desse lugar, vão pra qualquer outro restaurante chinês, menos nesse, vocês vão estar economizando o dinheiro de vocês ao invés de jogar no lixo, pois se comer nesse restaurante é certeza que a dor de barriga vem, não é atoa que a avaliação desse restaurante é só 3 estrelas. O mais engraçado é que o estacionamento que vocês pagam pra eles, eles não levam seu carro pra estacionar em lugar fechado, eles apenas manobram pra você e deixa seu carro na rua kkkkkk e te cobram 30 reais pra deixar seu carro na rua, sinceramente pior lugar que eu já fui, melhor comprar...
