Praça São Lourenço — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

Wonderful open-air restaurant! We were visiting São Paulo for a few days. We came here with a local friend for lunch.

We all 3 ordered the buffet. The buffet has plenty of great options. Lots of healthy food to choose from. The meats are extra. My husband ordered a seared tuna filet. His friend ordered the filet mignon. We all drank bottled water.

Everything in the buffet was very fresh and well prepared. I tried almost everything except the rice, french fries or soup. I tried the steak and the tuna and they were REALLY GOOD!

Our waiter was very nice. I spoke my broken Portuguese and he spoke his broken English.

I walked around. The restaurant is very big. There’s an upscale, and huge outdoor seating area. It was in the 60’s (F), so they had heaters outside. There’s a koi pond and play area for children.

Everything was very reasonable. After 2 coffees, lunch for the three of us was only $70! We couldn’t have gotten that meal for 1 person in the U.S....

Usually when you ask for a check and waiter asks if you want some liquor - this goes as a compliment, at least this is European approach. In this restaurant they just used the fact I don't speak Portuguese and gave me R$80 liquor which I thought goes as a compliment from the restaurant. So if you go to this place - just answer 'no' to any questions they ask. Otherwise you end up paying for water, liquor and God knows what else.

However, the food was good and the place is really cozy. It was a nice experience overall, I don't regret. When booking a place here I suggest you to pick the 'outside' option - it is the most beautiful and...

The atmosphere was romantic with the wooden interior and calming music. The service was friendly and helpful. What was even better than the interior was the food. I had a pasta with lamb sausage with tomato sauce and my girlfriend had a rib steak with 3 different kinds of tomatoes. Both dishes where really good balanced. The only minus point goes to the steak, the flavour was great but at some places it had a bit too much salt.
