My stay in the Caesar Business Vila Olimpia lasted for a whole month, so I had the chance to experience almost everything in a Hotel.
I read in other reviews that the best thing of this Hotel is the location and that is absolute true, is perfect located and there is always a cab at the entrance, so you waste no time on that aspect.
The personnel is correct and polite, not very efusive, perhaps room for improvement there, because after a month they treat me the same, I didn't feel that connection with the guest that you would expect after a long stay as mine. There was one exception to what I just wrote, Deivid at the front desk, he showed and outstanding level of commitment and responsibility every time I was around. He recommended me several places to see in São Paulo, places that only locals know and for a traveller like me that is awesome. And to finished this section with the starting point, Deivid greeted me every time I walk past the Reception and that is a lot given the fact that I am a smoker!
Regarding that last point, there is a patio / terrace in the Restaurant where you can smoke and for me that is great and adds a lot of points to my review.
As I said, after a month you start to get the little details and one thing I simply adored and have not found in another Hotel is the temperature of the water. I think I got the perfect temperature after 2 seconds (yes, 2 seconds!)
Another point that I really like was at the check in, I had a reservation for an individual bed, but when the lady at the front desk saw that I was going to be there for 24 nights (that ended up being 31) she immediately change it to a queen size bed, I simply had to say that was excellent.
This would not be a review without the negative points, and I would like to reiterate the subject of the effusiveness or lack of it of the personnel. Another thing that got my attention was that I asked for an Iron and and Iron Table, I have to say that the Iron Table has been the worst Iron Table I've ever used, really they need to buy new ones ASAP!
Would I stay again there,...
Read moreI've stayed here twice with mixed feelings. The staff is consistently great—super friendly, engaging, always smiling and welcoming. They really make a positive impression.||||As for the rooms, they're good, but even the best premium room isn't exactly luxurious. The air conditioning is particularly weak; despite setting it to 18.5 degrees, it shuts off at 19.5 degrees, which is frustrating. The bed is comfortable, but the shower pressure is somewhat weak.||||During both stays, I opted for a premium room (and being platinum all accor member) and encountered unexpected charges, like for coffee capsules in the room, which has never happened at other (Grand) Mercure hotels where they are provided. They did remove the charge when I questioned it, but there was no pricing or information about this in the room. Another surprise was a 34 BRL charge for a 25-gram chocolate bar. This seems excessively high, even for a hotel, and is not typical of other (Grand) Mercure properties I've visited where similar items are priced at 10-15 BRL. I suspect there may have been a mistake in the charging, but I haven't received any clarification despite following up.||||Overall, I've found the hotel lacking in communication and transparency on several occasions. For my next stay, I'm considering trying a different Grand Mercure; I've always preferred Grand Mercure Ibirapuera in the past and may return there in the future.||||On a positive note, this location offers perks like bike rentals, a lounge for platinum members, and a great breakfast (though I still prefer GM Ibirapuera's). The staff at breakfast are lovely, and the chef does an excellent job. The gym facilities are...
Read moreI stay for nine days at this hotel. Location is good, I had restaurants, pharmacies and malls very close, just a block or two, and taxis at the front door easy available, so is very convenient. Staff is really nice, sice you are received, then at checking in, at the restaurant, the room service, everyone is very nice. I don´t speak Portuguese and everybody did an effort to understand my "portuñol". Rooms are clean, beds are very comfy, bathrooms are spacy, air conditioner is not noisy, the only thing that I found not that nice is that the hotel receives people from airlines that arrive very late and they do some noise that can be heard. The morning buffet has good options, maybe the fruit was not that sweet, but there is a good selection of cheese, ham, juices, hot meals. The cook at the omelet bar is very kind and funny, she has a big smile for everybody and is willing to prepare your breakfast the best she can. I had a nice time staying here, and is very close to my office so would be my first choice at my return. The black rice in my bowl is that I try to work in the business center located in the Pullman hotel and I couldn´t get in for some reason, my key didn´t open despite I stay in a room that...
