Nice atmosphere, but we were really disappointed by the service. I asked for a Chai Latte and received one that was only luke warm. I am not someone who likes unusually hot milk, I just want the bare minimum and this milk was definitely under heated. I returned the drink and explained to the barista that it wasn’t hot enough, to which he rudely replied ‘you want it hot so you’ll burn your tongue?’ I told him no, I just want it hot like a regular coffee. He then heated it for 1 second and returned it for me to try, still not hot enough so he heated it again and finally it was at the minimum level of acceptable hotness for any drink, so I accepted. This encounter really ruined my experience at the cafe. When a customer has a reasonable request/gives feedback, you should not bring your ego into your reply. Just accept perhaps you made a mistake and fix it up. Simple!
Edit - in response to the response from the cafe: The issue, what lead me to leave this review, was how I was treated by the staff when I asked them to make my drink hotter. If they kindly accepted rather than making a rude comment and giggling with their colleague, I would’ve have a nice experience and left a positive review. But this reply from the cafe is another example of their defensive nature and unwillingness to admit fault.
Also, have been to many third wave coffee shops, all over the world, and several just here in Sofia, and I have never had an issue with the temperature...
Read moreToday I had a horrible experience with this coffee shop. One of the owners I assume has the worst attitude. I told them my order and they started preparing it, however, I needed it for takeaway and I told him that. He got angry and said I didn’t tell him in the beginning, he did not ask. Then he proceeded telling me that this is a coffee shop where people drink coffee inside. I told him that people in cafes usually ask and he said “Well we don’t”. The coffee was not made again, he just poured the espresso in a small cup and put milk on top. I think he got my order wrong because I’ve ordered a flat white before and it was different, but it came in an espresso cup. I thought he was joking but saw his expression was dead serious. Well ok, it’s your loss if you don’t ask people for here or takeaway….. bad coffee and attitude, no thank you! Went and got coffee from Flow. There are so many coffee shops in the area which have good customer service :)
For the business reply : I understand that you serve coffee for inside and it’s the default. The reviews was not for that, it’s for your horrible customer experience. Have talked to a couple of my friends and acquaintances and unfortunately everyone says that the place is great however customer experience is close to...
Read moreChanced upon this cafe for a coffee break on the way to my hostel from the train station. Had a latte machiato and a salted caramel eclair for snacks.
I liked this cafe primarily for the interior design. It is amazing how the owner is able to create a place that oozes creativity using simple colours (yellow, white and black) and materials that others usually dispose off. For example, I believe the peeling concrete ceiling would be replaced immediately in many cafes in Asia as such ceilings would give the customers impressions that the cafe is poorly maintained. But here, I loved how the peeling cement ceiling goes with the basic tiles on the walls and tables.
The place is a clear favourite with locals as I saw many students working on their laptops and engaging in discussions. So a good spots for digital workers / nomads.
Coffee is good but it didn't leave a deep impression on me.
Still though, I recommend coming here to experience the...
