We recently dined at Kuzina Greek Restaurant, expecting an authentic Mediterranean experience. Unfortunately, the reality was far from my expectations. Very Expensive: The prices are astonishingly high. While I don’t mind paying a premium for quality food, the cost here was not justified. The menu items are priced well above what you would expect, even for a high-end establishment. Small Portions: Adding to the frustration, the portions were disappointingly small. Each dish felt like a mere sampling rather than a full meal. For the high prices, you would anticipate generous servings, but instead, you leave feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. It Looks Funny: The restaurant’s decor was puzzling. It seemed like an odd mix of random themes, none of which tied back to Greece. The atmosphere felt more like a parody than a serious attempt at a themed restaurant, leaving us amused and confused rather than immersed in Greek culture. Zero Greek Style in Cooking and Decor: To my dismay, both the cooking and the decor lacked any genuine Greek influence. The dishes, while trying to mimic Greek names, did not resemble traditional Greek flavors or techniques. The decor, far from reflecting the rich aesthetics of Greece, felt generic and disconnected. There was no effort to recreate the warmth and vibrancy of Greek tavernas. In Summary, They failed to deliver on almost every front. With exorbitant prices, meager portions, a comically mismatched decor, and a complete absence of authentic Greek style in both food and ambiance, it’s hard to find a reason to recommend this place. If you’re looking for a true Greek dining experience, it’s best to...
Read moreI went there on a Thursday after work with a Bulgarian friend. As a Greek I was extremely curious to try this new place. Due to its location if you go with a car be ready to have some issues finding parking. However if you take the metro the station NDK is really close. We sat inside as the weather was extremely hot that day. The personnel was really polite and professional although at some point we thought they were a bit overbearing. The area was nice and the atmosphere was nice as well. However the biggest issue we had by far was how many flies were inside the restaurant. Literally we had to fight a handful of flies throughout our meal. The food was from ok to amazing depending on the dish. For example the calamari was extremely nice. The fava the same. For me the tzatziki seriously lacked flavour compared to the real thing. (Generally the tzatziki in Sofia no matter the place you go seriously lacks flavour and is not made with the correct ingredients / correct ratios). The skewer pork meat we took was completely indifferent. As price for 2 people we gave 130+ leva for not such a huge quantity of food. Overall if you are lucky and you don't have to battle flies you will have a pleasant meal. Some dishes are worth it way more than other dishes and the place I would say is on the...
Read moreThe restaurant is new, with a modern and pleasant design. The dishes are quite tasty: We liked the Santorini Fava, and the Souvlaki was also pretty good, though it might be an acquired taste. However, the service is too slow (considering that when we arrived, there were still few customers) and somewhat strange. The waiter asked if we wanted all the ordered dishes to be brought out at once or as they were ready. We said all at once. We also kept the menu to choose a dessert later. But he brought an appetizer to my friend, then the main course, and no matter how long we waited, my order never came. Apparently, the waiter either didn't understand or didn't remember the order without writing it down. Of course, there was no desire or time to order any dessert. The prices are quite high. P.S. We visited the restaurant for the second time, and the service was excellent, while the dishes were very tasty — especially the салат «Прасини». The dish with cheese «Манури Кадаифи» was beautifully presented and looked almost like a dessert — highly recommended. The reason I’m taking off one star is the lamb dish «Агнешка Псима» with dark rice: it was bland, uninteresting, and tasted...
