Boba woba shmoba. I do love me a classic brown sugar tapioca boba, but on this particular day I was in the mood for a fruity drink.
Sat alone on the floor in my windowless apartment, bathed in darkness. Days passed. I hadn’t eaten, I hadn’t showered, to be honest I hadn’t even moved. I sat there talking to myself thinking. I thought this is not how life was meant to be lived. Wether you believe in evolution or creation, Adam and Eve, Amoeba and natural selection. Both came with such hardships, so many challenges and sacrifices were made to get to us to where we are now.
Imagine, a wonderful underwater fish city, shops and schools and hospitals. All run by fishes living in harmonious bliss. One day all that would change. A lovely underwater summers day, the sunlight refracting perfectly through the warm waters to illuminate the streams of the ocean city streets. While the hustle and bustle of the Atlantis may have seemed like the earth was alive, Pangaea lay barren, not a single soul occupied the dry lands, not yet anyway.
Cries roared from the infirmary, midwives scrambled to calm down the distraught parents, while simultaneously trying to figure out how they would solve the problem. Hours of consultations later they came to the decision that it would be best to be rid of the monstrosity. Have her fed to the sharks. At the end of the day 253 health hatched eggs to one unhealthy was not a bad ratio. They released the deformed finned baby fish in to No Man’s Sea, the water there ran red with the blood of innocents. There were no rules here, a lawless state run by crooks. The deformed child was surely sentenced to death, or so they thought. Don Sharkeone, a mafia crime boss saw the child on his nightly swim around the neighbourhood. He took pity on the poor creature and took her in, raised her as his own, he named her Tiktaalik. Once she was old enough to understand, The Don explained to her why she was there, “Buon giorno amore mio, you-a understand-a Tiktaalik, you-a are not-a normale.” The Don was a soft spoken shark, in a small slender frame for a great white, yet he was the most feared shark in the whole ocean. He had never shown his soft side and most thought he didn’t have one. But Tiktaalik was one of the few fish that were lucky enough to see it. “It’s-a time for you-a to go out-a on your own, pave your own-a path-a. But know-a, just because your fin-a are-a feet-a you-a aren’t less than-a other fishies, you are more-a especial.”
Tiktaalik shed a tear but she knew he was right. That night she swam to shore. That night she took her first steps onto land. That night she became the first fish to walk the Earth.
Moral of the story, I wanted a fruit boba and I got it from Chatime. It was bloody lovely and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I want to go...
Read moreWhile the drink is acceptable, the service and crowd control are the problems. Staff employees were conversing with a group of kids and teenagers while taking orders, mixing drinks, and serving clients in line. Groups of young teenagers frequently enter this store, which is not a kindergarten or secondary school, and cause a lot of chaos. Eventually, some of them accidentally stole my drink, which required me to wait for 30 minutes while the staff made a new one. People were waiting for a simple beverage, but no management was in sight to keep things under control anh this was not...
Read moreI visit this café regularly. The service is great, and the interior of the place is warm, spotless, and decorated beautifully too. The staff members are mannerly, you can always question them about the beverages on the menu. My orders usually take around 5-10 minutes to be made, which is quick for such a complicated order. The selection of drinks is great - warm teas, cold shakes, juices, and beverages with or without caffeine. You can even request your drink to be made hot instead of cold. I truly love this place and its staff! I recommend paying a...
