Still one of the best restaurants in Siem Reap!

Having been a regular patron at the old location I was pleased to find the food is still as good as I remember and service as friendly as always. The food is delicious and authentic, especially the Cambodian curry's and appetizers! The cocktails are also amazing.

One of the reasons I like this restaurant is the kindness and attentiveness of the young staff, who, as I understand, are given the opportunity to be trained in service alongside their studies.

The new location of the restaurant is more convenient than before as it's located in the center of town not far from pub street and all the action.

The steep stairs are well worth the effort for the views overlooking the street scene below. Although the prices are slightly higher than before, I'm sure that's due to costs going up for ingredients and for being in a more central location. You get what you pay for and for the quality of the food, location and service its great value. I highly recommend The Christa if you want to eat excellent Khmer food served by friendly staff in a nice setting. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Siem Reap for a good meal or a drink with friends and will go back...

I would definitely recommend trying Khmer Cuisine if you haven't already. I recently had the Fish Amok for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The combination of coconut milk and fish, served in a banana leaf, added a wonderful aroma to the dish.

In addition to Khmer Cuisine, they also offer a variety of Western and other dishes on their menu. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the location in the pub street area. Plus, they even have draft beer available for just a dollar.

The staff is incredibly attentive and they can speak English fluently, which makes the dining experience even better. They are always ready to serve you and cater to your needs.

Lastly, I must mention that the owner of the restaurant is absolutely lovely. You should definitely take the opportunity to meet her.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant...

This was our favorite restaurant on our entire trip!! The best food we had in 3 weeks Cambodia. First thing we tried were the Khmer style spring rolls - they were so good that when we went a second time we ordered more of these to take on our bus trip with us. Then we both got stir fry vegetables with rice, my bf with beef, and me with chicken. Sooooo good. It was truly delicious. The drinks were also very good. And the service was great too. We didn't feel like someone was staring over our shoulder watching us eat ( like we did at other places), but if we wanted more or wanted the bill we could easily get someone's attention (proved to be difficult at other places). The food was so delicious and the staff were extremely friendly, that we decided to come back the next day again before we left Siem Reap. 100% recommend to anyone who wants great food, great staff and...

I was expecting a lot given the ratings on google but it was definitely not my best food experience in Siem Reap - not that it is bad, but just not up to a 4.8 rating. I believe you can find better food at better prices. I ordered Fish Amok and the one I ate at other places had some big chunks of fish, which were delicious. The fish here was shredded, so to my taste it was not as good as it could have been. As per the looks, the dish seemed to have much much more vegetables than fish itself. My husband ordered chicken satay with a peanut sauce - good but not amazing. We also tried the banana spring roll (dessert) - the chocolate is one of those syrup ones, too sweet and tastes weird. Nevertheless service was good and they have a good view from the last floor. The staff apologized a thousand times for the steep stairs (they didn’t even have to :)
