COBS Bread — Restaurant in Abbotsford

I was so excited when this location opened. It is much closer to my house and was convenient for my drive in to work. I have used the Cobs chain for years. Treats for work meetings or for clients, guests at home, or just as a treat. Both my experiences at this location paled in comparison to other locations. Food quality was not the same as other locations across baked goods/treats and was quite disappointing to serve. The foodsafe practises of the person helping were questionable, they kept touching their hair with bare hands then grabbed the loaf of bread with the same hand, not using gloves. Another time, the person working at the front counter came in to the store, and started right at the counter without washing their hands. Oh my goodness. So delicious. I happened to be walking past and I could smell the deliciousness coming from inside so I decided to give it a try.

I never expected simple pastries to be so delicious. They had scone samples, something that I never would have purchased because when I had scones growing up they were dry and flavorless. But the ones from cobbs were so moist and delicious. Wow. It was so flavorful.

I ended up buying the ham and cheese croissant. Croissants aren't usually that exciting. I don't know what they put in them, but man were they amazing. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. They really blew me away.

Came in here to purchase a ‘mini loaf’ which I mistakenly referred to as a ‘half loaf’. I was corrected by the employee in an extremely rude tone and told that that she doesn’t make that loaf here and I can go somewhere else. Customer service these days has gone down the drain and young employees are becoming more and more entitled. I am MORE than happy to take my business elsewhere.
