It took 30 minutes to get our order via drive thru (short staffing was the reason the barista gave us), they were out of multiple products and when we went to pay the scanner wasn’t working at first and they tried to tell me I had no balance on the card. I did have a balance and I suggested they scan it again and it worked. The two ladies suggested it was my fault that it wasn’t working. I’m not sure how I could have had them scan the card another way? My wife’s drink was wrong but we decided to leave it because it would take too long to sort out. I understand there are staff shortages, but when you’re laughing and chatting, getting things wrong and it takes 30 minutes to get through the line? This is frustrating to customers. If you don’t have the staff, closing is better than offering terrible service. This was not just a bad experience at Starbucks, it was my worst experience at a dining establishment period. I don't write a lot of reviews but the starbucks at this location makes me really want to write one. This is my favorite starbucks in Abbotsford. I like how it opens early and closes late. It always closes at 10pm so there's no need to memorize all these different times for different days of the week. I like to study here and really appreciate the convenience of not having to ask for a key/get them to unlock to go to the bathroom every time. There's also plenty of outlets here to plug your laptop into. The staff here are so friendly they always greet you as soon as you enter the door. There's plenty of space to park here and because the parking lot is big you can get in and out really fast. I wish they could play calmer/quieter music but it's fine I just bring...
