Went with family that were visiting from out of province. No kids menu but my daughters shared a Montreal smoked meat sandwich and the other kid had 1 piece of fish and chips. Kids are allowed until 2pm. Each meal comes with the choice of 2 sides. I had The Big Easy which came with a huge piece of moist fried chicken, lettuce, tomato and cheese. I thought it could have used some sauce and added a bit of ketchup. I had the fries and edamame for sides and both were very good. My wife had the Forage Burger with mushroom, onions, truffle aioli, cheese but seemed to be missing the arugula. She had the tossed greens which came with a good dressing and the roasted corn which was spiced well but the corn overcooked (soggy). The Montreal smoked meat sandwich came loaded with shaved meat, my sister enjoyed her steak sandwich and brother in-law enjoyed The Father's Office. All liked the fries and edamame but same soggy corn all around. The fountain drinks were way less watered down than other places and our waiter was prompt to refill (and great overall). We'll hit it up again in Calgary.

We had prior reservations for a large group of people and were able to sit all together at a big table that was centralized in the restaurant. This table would have catered up to 6-8 people. The service was perfect, always someone there to take orders and refill water, etc. The food came fairly quickly after ordering. I had wings and really enjoyed them. It wasn't really warm enough then to eat outside, but I did notice they had an outdoor seating area for warmer months. Parking was a bit limited to paid street and large paid parking lots behind the restaurant. The paid street parking ends at 6pm though. However, Canmore is a lovely mountain town that is very walkable, so you could walk from your hotel and enjoy the sites on the way. There were many large TVs here showing hockey playoff, which we enjoyed watching while we were there. Compared to some other places to eat in Canmore, I found the menu items to be affordable. I would recommend this restaurant, and will likely visit again next time I stay in Canmore.

After reading the good reviews we decided to give this “restaurant” a try. The inside felt more like a bar environment. They cleaned off a dirty table and seated us near the window. We ordered the Louisiana Steak and Shrimp. The picture on the menu looked great! Unfortunately, what they served didn’t look like this. We ordered ours med-rare and it was mostly black on the outside and overdone on the inside. We ate it rather than send it back as we had somewhere else we were going. The biggest problem with this place was there was a patron at the bar that was extremely loud and obnoxious, along with filthy language and every other word starting with the letter F. How on earth the the bartender, manager and waitress could all overlook this while continuing to serve him shots was unbelievable. Most of the patrons were looking at him. We mentioned this to the manager when we were checking out. She said hadn’t noticed it. We would never go back to such a poorly run place with just mediocre food.

Almost every experience me and my partner has had here has been excellent, food is always great and the waitresses are consistently accommodating and friendly, especially our regular waitress, but this recent visit was the complete opposite. After I had paid and was getting ready to leave a completely different server came to our table asking if our service was adequate and if the food was to our liking, we replied yes as it should’ve been obvious, and the server then asked very perplexed why we hadn’t tipped. I had no idea I hadn’t tipped, but feeling backed into a corner I gave this waitress who wasn’t even our original server a $20 bill just to make her go away. There’s a tip option for a reason, key word option, if it’s mandatory indicate that it’s so, don’t expect regular patrons who are Canmore residents themselves to pay the servers wages on your establishments behalf. It’s a bit depressing knowing these waitresses have to bother patrons who forgot to tip after they’ve already paid their bill because they’re not getting paid enough by their employer. The waitress who gave us this experience is an exception amongst the polite and well mannered staff, unfortunate that they hired someone so presumptuous with...
