The owners/staff running the place are completely rude and have zero customer service skills, as mentioned in other reviews here. I brought my parents to the store as they were visiting in town and when they asked questions about what products they had in stock, they were met with an incredibly condescending and inpatient attitude by both staff members. The store was empty and although they were ready to spend money there, the man at the till was trying to rush us out and seemed bothered by us simply looking around. He wasn't listening to any of the questions and as a result, misunderstood what they wanted to buy. We went there specifically to support a local business and enjoy a candy shop (who doesn't love the magic of one?) but instead left feeling disappointed. I highly recommend going to Banff to choose a more positive experience. As a local, this is extremely disappointing. I will not return, nor will I advise others to. Read moreI love walking into this Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe in Canmore… it made me feel like a kid again feeling excited and happy surrounded by colourful candies and sweet treats! They have an impressive selection of old style candies, a variety of international sweets and retro delicacies. You can find an amazing assortment of both local and international goodies like chocolates, caramels, hard candy, jellybeans, lollipops, nougat, marshmallows, toffees, fudges, gummies, bubble gums, sweets, classic candies and many more. The Jelly Belly jellybeans section was so colourful and well stocked. I bought a bag of mixed jellybeans and some chocolates for my kids. The prices were reasonable and the staffs were very polite and friendly too. I will definitely visit this candy shop again on my next...
Read moreThere was a fair assortment of handmade candy and international goodies but I would stay away from the bulk bins. The gumballs were rockhard and the gummies were subjected to humidity. Prices were decent considering this is a "tourist" town.
In reply the owner's comment: We loved the store so please don't take it otherwise simply reviewing our experience. The gumballs were rock hard (cracked into pieces when bit down on). Some gummies were tacky (maybe from heat then?) A bin was also missing a lid. The store door was propped open. I was unaware that there was more than than one store. This was in Canmore on...
