The only two stars I’m giving are for the server! He was prompt, friendly, accommodating and professional! I am thoroughly confused by all of the positive reviews on the food however, as everything we ordered was a total MEH experience. We’ve all learned from chef Ramsay by now that restaurants that offer 10 million dishes from a ton of different cuisines are master of non, however sometimes we still hold out hope. We’re traveling and looking for packed patios with locals, hoping to stumble upon a pleasant surprise but unfortunately leaving disappointed hoping we don’t end up feeling sick in a few hours from the food. I ordered the following: coconut prawns: gluten free was they selling point for me, however the batter did not taste of coconut at all and was a total mess falling completely off the prawns. The two larger prawns tasted off, not sure how to describe but hoping I don’t get sick. I actually spit the second one out. Truffle fries: The fries were cooked perfectly but this dish was majorly lacking. There wasn’t enough salt on the fries, they should have been served with a lemon wedge and lemon aioli. They were served dry and were seriously disappointing. I left them untouched after two bites.

My partner ordered: Poutine: His verdict was way too much salt! He agreed that the fries were fantastic on their own, but the gravy was perhaps too salty and lacking in flavor. Top that off with an uneven mound of cheese piled on top and you’ve got another disappointing dish. How any Canadian restaurant fails at a basic poutine will forever shock me… I mean come on, it’s poutine! Chicken dumplings: lack luster served with a puddle of water on the plate. Enough said about that I think.

I hope our server, I believe his name was William, finds a better establishment at some point if that is his wish. He was wonderful and the only guilt I have is that he had to look upon our dismayed faces for...

We came to visit Canmore, saw this place and decided to join and have a bite and beer. Our waiter I believe was Anwar. He took our order etc but didn’t seem all there at all. Left brought our beers back, one full to the rim and the other more then a quarter missing (I’m a bartender I know there’s supposed to be head but I didn’t have any and the other beer was full to the rim) then I mentioned why is part of my beer missing and he said there was heading that beer. Well meaning that beer sat at the bar long enough for the head to be missing. I pointed out my husbands beer that was full to the rim and he walked away. Didn’t care at all. Even the table beside me was making jokes how much beer was missing from my glass! Someone else delivered our food. I was already empty on my beer, well it wasn’t full to begin with. No one offered another drink. Dropped the food and left and out server wasn’t anywhere to be found. Then as he was taking an order from a table beside he leaned over to ask if everything was ok, I said no it’s not great. Food was cold. Beer empty and no care in the world again. Anyways I was really upset at this point and had to wave a different waitress down to get my bill. Then wow he suddenly appears with my bill. Yes I left him zero tip. Second time in my life I left someone zero. I don’t do that, I don’t believe it’s right. But at that level of service (no service) you get what you ask for. Seem like staff were all not well trained. One girl came in and out of the patio many times, asking almost every table if a drink (looked like a mojito ) belong to them. You should not have to go to 3 different tables to see where the drink is supposed to go! That says a lot about this place. Don’t recommend this...

There are several issues with our visit. We weren’t greeted or acknowledged at the door until several minutes later. We understand there is probably a labor shortage and as a customer you can give a certain amount patience to sympathize for their scenario. The initial drink order quick. However, I had to flag the waiter to comeback and take our order after waiting about 25 min. I would totally understand if they were very busy; we also didn’t anticipate waiting at least another 25min for our food. We ordered 3 meals and out of the 3, one was kind of ok. I ordered the Graze pub burger with poutine and there was maybe 10-12 fries in the poutine. Which was $5 extra for the poutine. My wife ordered the Bison ravioli and the pasta was cold, raw in the center and very small portion wise, overall poorly executed. After we complained to the waiter he came back and asked if we wanted to remove the ravioli off the bill or we could wait another 10-15 min for them to remake that order. So we choose to order the calamari. This was decent but for $19, again the portion was a bit limited. The third meal ordered was a kids cheeseburger with fries. When we received the meal it was a grilled cheese sandwich. We then had to wait another 15 min for them to prepare his actual meal. I forgot to mention they didn’t give us cutlery and we had to ask for it and then they gave us one set for 5 people. So I had to get my son to get the cutlery himself. At this point we didn’t care anymore and wanted to just finish and leave. After the of lacking service and mistakes on the orders I would think the restaurant would try to make up for the mishaps. But the apologies were brief and not genuine. We definitely will not be going back to this...

To be honest, our whole experience was kinda "meh" at best. Our server was very friendly; our drinks were filled often, and our food came out fairly quickly. The restaurant itself is small and rather run-down. The atmosphere is just a little dingy and in need of renovations. The lights/lamps all have dust on them, and the fabric bench seats badly need to be recovered. The seats are also very high in comparison to how low the tables are (perhaps the tables are new and don't quite match with the seating). The food was okay. Our burger was okay, and the fries were pretty standard - nothing notable about the dish. And for the price of the burger, I would have expected more. We ordered the kids' grilled cheese & fries for our toddler. Her sandwich bread was barely toasted, and the cheese wasn't melted at all. Luckily, she isn't too picky, but it was disappointing. They did have a high chair for her to sit in, but only one of the bathrooms had a change installed. And they are not wide enough for a wheelchair or walker user to access. Speaking of bathrooms: you need to walk back behind the bar and pass the kitchen to go to the facilities. There are old broken chairs and such down that hallway, and a bunch of boxes and things spilling out of the kitchen. It just looks unkempt and doesn't leave you with a feeling of wanting to stay very long. There are definitely way nicer places in Canmore to stop for breakfast or lunch. Parking is limited to the street or the various downtown lots.

TGIF indeed. What a gem of a place in the heart of Canmore. This town has stolen my heart! Graze Food and Drink is a shining example of what makes this little town so special. Friendly staff who treat you like old friends. Isn't that what the heart of pubs originated from? Somewhere to rest your weary bones after travel and solitude? A place to come together with friends. From the moment we walked through the door, we were met with a genuinely friendly greeting. Then, the food.... Looking through the menu everything sounded delicious there was not a single dish I would rule out as an option. So I asked our lovely server, Camilla, what her favourite dish was. I took her advice and ordered it. Their chef, Prasad, created what he calls the Farm Fresh Eggs Benedict, and what I call excellent! Hands down, the best breakfast I have had in years. So, as I sit here in a delightfully cozy, eclectic, friendly gem of an establishment, sipping on a ceaser made to perfection by the lovely Autumn, Allison Kraus sings When You Say nothing at all, and I smile as I make plans for an exciting 2020 filled endless possibilities 😊 It's a beautiful Friday. Make every day the best, my friends.

came here on a weekday at 5.30pm, there were many empty seats as the dinner crowd has not come yet. i had a group of 8, chinese, and when asked if there were space for us, the staff in the picture replied that she would not be accepting us in as her staffs are tired and overworked, and is unable to take a big group. However, when we walked passed about 1 hour or less later, there were many groups of 4-5s and the restaurant was filled. Was wondering, are the staff really overworked if the restaurant closes late at night (take note, we went at a non-peak hour period as well)? If yes, why is my group of 8 specifically told to go to another restaurant, whereas other groups were able to dine in? The staff told us to go to another restaurant down the road instead. If we came back on another day, would we still be served? *special note to mention: we had called in before we arrived to enquire if they were opened and had space for us It does not matter how great the food is, especially if the customers are not treated right, and have selective service.
