Harvey's — Restaurant in Barrie

Worst experience .. Since when does Harveys started charging for toppings? I visited this location last night around 22:56 and ordered a poutine. There was a boy and a girl working. The boy was brooming the floor, came and took my order. Then went at the wash station. Washed his hands only with water. I asked him to wash his hands with soap as well as he is going to deal with the food. I requested some toppings to be added on the poutine. The girl there said that she would have to charge for the toppings. Like seriously? Then she said that it is the policy, First of all, this isn’t the first time that I am requesting the toppings on the poutine. Secondly, if this is the policy show it to me. Why don’t all the Harvey’s have the same policy then. Even with this location, One staff is doing it and another is asking for a charge for the toppings. Don’t go around making your own policies. A couple of days ago, I visited the same location and I showed the staff who took my order- $8.49 combo deal on the Harvey’s app. She refused and said that I would have to order online. I asked her to show me where does it say ? She tried looking into the system but couldn’t find it anywhere. IF IT IS ON THE HARVEYS APP, YOU HAVE TO MATCH THE DEAL UNLESS IT SAY “ONLY ONLINE. “ I do not know what is wrong with these people tryna make there own policies. I asked the staff to return the money last night. I am not going back there. A SUGGESTION FOR HARVEY’S - If there is a policy, I do not have a problem following it and I would even pay for the toppings if required but please BE ON THE SAME PAGE. One staff is saying one thing and another staff is saying something else. I am willing to provide the receipt details. It is just...

I ordered a chicken deal that included buffalo chicken poutine, but there was no chicken on it. When I returned to address the issue, the staff member, Sandeep, accused me of eating the chicken off the poutine and argued with me. I asked if there were cameras to verify my claim, but instead, she blamed me for eating the cheese curds too.

I've visited this location many times without any issues, so this experience was especially frustrating and disappointing. I submitted a complaint on their website, and the RGM called me from a “No Caller ID” number. He claimed to have prepared my order and accused me of using a coupon, all while being confrontational and not acknowledging the mistake. He was really rude and unprofessional.

This kind of service and behavior is unacceptable, and I hope the management can address these issues...

I pulled off of Hwy 11 late in the evening on my way up to the cottage. Experience has told me that once north of Barrie, late at night, it is hard to find a fast food stop. Just off the Duckworth exit is this Harvey’s. I arrived at just about midnight, closing, and was so pleased to see they were open and ready to serve me. The two workers were very pleasant and went out of their way to make my meal fresh, custom and tasty. I felt motivated to give them a review because the experience was so positive. Their names are Dmruv and Ishika. Often I’ve noticed if arriving just before closing at a business, you are either turned away, or given stripped down service. Not here. I’ll go again.
