2022 April: Rather torn on what to give them as a rating...was between a 4 and a 5 just due to the price and lack of chicken could not give a 5...

-my first reaction, $16 for a salad?! Better be the best salad I have ever had...it was a really nice salad...not the best though...still really good if you do not mind the price... -a great variety of items in your salad...we had the Bangkok salad..had chicken with it but they really do not give you that much chicken...if I counted correctly 3 pieces for $3 extra... -I do like all the extras they give you in the salad mind you...chow mein noodles, edamame, romaine lettuce, red & yellow peppers, peanuts, ... all VERY fresh...they also give you the option to take out things and add things in relation to the different salad varieties (so say you do not want one topping but everything is awesome, you can take out that item and sub in something else which is really cool)... -the restaurant was VERY clean, the servers VERY friendly and knowledgeable about their products, they were able to answer all our questions...

In the end though I will not return but that is cause of the price coupled with how much you get for it...$16 for a salad I just cannot rationalize, they give you quite a lot of variety and the toppings are FRESH but $16...if it was $9 or even $11 I would have no problem with it...also in my view we should have gotten more chicken, then I would have no issue with $16 for it (or $19/20 for that matter if we got a lot more chicken)...

If $16 for a really nice salad that has a lot in it appeals to you, then IMO you should check this place out as it was really good. Just I get a more hearty meal for less so for me, apologies, but I guess not my thing...that said if you this place ever has a CHICKEN salad, with a LOT of chicken for a decent price, I might return to retry the place...

Oh yeah, also the packaging for takeout is a VERY sturdy box, so impressed with...

Visited Barrie from Toronto for the Game Expo and stopped by Chopped Leaf around 3:56 PM on May 10th to grab a salad. It was our first time trying this place.

Two staff members were working — one South Asian man who was kind, respectful, and accommodating, and another East Asian man who, unfortunately, left a poor impression. When my partner politely asked to see the greens (a reasonable request when you’re mindful of what you’re eating), the South Asian staff member was more than happy to assist. Meanwhile, the other employee reacted with exaggerated facial expressions and muttered comments under his breath — as if the request was outrageous or offensive.

Frankly, it was off-putting and unprofessional. In the food industry — especially in a customer-facing role — your personal opinions and judgments shouldn’t get in the way of basic customer service. Wanting to check the freshness of ingredients is valid, especially when some places do serve less-than-ideal produce.

I was hungry, but I walked out without ordering. If I’m not treated with respect, I’m not giving my money to a place that can’t uphold a basic standard of hospitality. One job — good customer...

Attended for late lunch and ordered a small soup and purchased pre-made wraps from the fridge. I waited for 12 minutes for food that was already prepared. The couple who ordered after me waited even longer. I was standing at the counter when I observed the owner or manager attend from outside and go right into the food prep area and start handling food. A female customer mentioned it to him and he was rude to her. The same female customer commented on the amount of soup in the container and asked for a little more, the owner/manager told her that is all they put into that container. I observed about an inch from the lid and he could have definitely put in more soup for that customer. Poor customer service, the peanut dip I was given for my wrap was not enough and the unsanitary habits of the owner/manager has completely turned me off from this establishment. I work nearby and will be sharing my experience with...

Awesome!! We adore the Chopped Leaf!! I wish they had more locations! We have had a number of their salads and bowls now. My 2 top favourites are the Spinach Power Salad and the Bangkok Salad. My husband's favourite is Spinach Power Bowl. We both also like the Santa Fe Salad or Bowl. This location assembled the Spinach Power Bowl for my hubby even though it isn't available anymore as a menu option, but they have all the ingredients for it. I always add spinach as an extra topping to my Bangkok salad We left happy and satisfied! The salads and bowls are so fresh with excellent dressings! They fill the salads and bowls with lots of toppings. Type of dining: Eat in, takeout, or catering. You can order from Uber Eats. Seating is mostly in booths. They have one separate table. It is a Canadian business. Washrooms: There are 2 washrooms: wheelchair accessible and family. The only negative is the family washroom lock didn't lock.

I’ve driven by a few times and thought it’d be worth stopping by for a nice salad. Got the #1 signature salad bowl and am pretty disappointed. Iceberg lettuce, some brown rice with shredded cheese, about 10 black beans and some kernels of corn, 1/10th of an avocado, topped with extremely hard toasted pita chunks. It was edible, except for the chunks, but not restaurant quality, especially for $11. Staff was nice enough. Packaging is nice. Can’t speak to the other food but this shouldn’t be on any menu.

I ordered a grilled cheese and a tomato soup. For the second time now i was given a different soup. If you are sold out then take it off the menu. The worst part was the grilled cheese. Not only was the bread not toasted, but there was a very disappointing amount of cheese. So i paid $20 for the tiniest cup of the wrong soup and two pieces of bread with a pinch of cheese. Looking at the other one star reviews makes a lot of sense.
