Montana’s BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Barrie

90 minutes for lunch Had lunch on December 19. We arrived at 12:15 and the restaurant was busy. We were seated an a server came for our drink order. We only wanted water and we asked for a couple of minutes to decide what to order. She said she would take our order when she brought our waters. A few minutes later she dropped our water off and left immediately. We did see her busy delivering food to other tables but it took her 30 minutes to come back after we flagged her down. We ordered fajitas to share. 20 minutes later she brought the tortillas and toppings. 10 minutes after that she said the kitchen was working on the chicken. I wonder if she forgot to order it. At the end of the meal the restaurant was empty (1:45 pm) and again after waving discretely a few times I had to call her over to bring the bill. I have dined here in the evening many times and never taken longer than 60 minutes. Very disappointed in the service this time. Additionally when the bill came the fajitas were charged at 23.99 instead of 21.99. I was in too much of a hurry to dispute and left a 15% tip (it would have been 25% but for the...

Stopped in here for dinner on Thursday night while driving through on a road trip. Not sure if they were short staffed or what the underlying issue was, but we spent 2 hours here, with the majority of our time spent waiting. It took absurdly long for our meals to come out, and our waiter ended up forgetting to bring a drink when we asked for another one. We ordered dessert and waited about 20 minutes to get it, after waiting 15 minutes for our waiter to come back once we were done eating. We had asked to not have caramel sauce on the skillet cookie, and it arrived with caramel sauce… however, we were so fed up with waiting at this point that we just ate it as is. We also asked for the bill with the cookie since we knew we had spent so long waiting - and our waiter returned with only the cookie, not the bill.

To his credit, he was very pleasant and we had no issues aside from the ridiculous wait times. The restaurant wasn’t packed either so I’m not sure if this was a one off or a more common occurrence. Based on this, I’d be reluctant to return if I was pressed for time. Food was delicious, prices...

fried pitas with the spinach dip are rock hard and overcooked. I ordered takeout and i’m assuming it was the manager who i spoke to on the phone and gave me the order i got there had a very weird demeanour making me feel very awkward. he skips the scene points option on the machine but leaves the tip option and hands you the machine… for a takeout order.

came again. few weeks later they messed up again. i order fried pitas for spinach dip and get baked? which are undercooked and cold. ordered beef nachos with no veggies (jalapeños, onion, tomato etc) it comes with all of those on it. last part of the order was a chicken burrito bowl. tasted like hot sauce was dumped into it, extremely spicy, which it’s usually not. again disappointed and unsure if i can return because every time i order take out something is wrong, yet every time i dine in there’s next to no issues. dine in has become a priority and take out is just a throw something together in a box and serve it to someone because they won’t complain, or “it won’t be anybody’s fault”. do better. takeout here is...
