Tuesday July 4, 2023 1:30 am. Ordered a snack size Score McFlurry. Drove to sit in parking lot to eat and discovered that there was no score bits. Drive back in line to get a replacement and only to be refused a replacement. Girl said she made it herself and made sure she put toppings in on bottom and top. I suggested she check the dispenser and see if it was working properly and kept showing her the ice cream. she argued with me. I asked for my Money back and she did refund and I gave her back the ice cream. Went to another location and got a new one that was done write. Then realized she gave me a refund for a bigger size that I did not buy. Went to return to Cundles location because the till would be short and go show her the receipt and a proper score McFluury. Blond girl was polite and had name tag on. The original girl who was being rude did not have her name tag on. I was trying to explain to her that she needed to check the dispenser to make sure the score bits were coming out properly and not a powder. She continued to argue with me and accuse me of trying to get free food! Meanwhile I gave back my original flurry. I also showed the receipt from the other location to show that I had not asked for extra toppings because she said that’s what they did for me. She was not taking any ownership for the mistake. It was not personal by any means. The customer service here was really awful and despite the refund she still didn’t make it right and my concern is that the next few customers asking for the score McFlurry are going to get powdered topping instead of the proper chunks. Sometimes good people come through and are willing to help.I was willing to give the difference back from the medium MacFlurry to the snack size. And not looking for free food! I normally go to the Dunlop location on my way to work in the mornings and get my 6 cranberry orange muffins. These people know me as a regular as. I have never in an entire year complained and misused the service to get free food. The Dunlop morning crew know me well and are great. This Cundles location has had great kids working there and I have called in to tell about great customer service from two good employees. Read more2:30am, on a Wednesday. Not a soul in queue. I order a very simple combo and nuggets.
The staff demonstrate that, with at least 3 people visible, and only one customer (me) to serve, that they are incapable of making sure that the 3 items that should be in the bag, are indeed there. 3 simple items.
I drive home. I notice the missing nuggets and sauce. I drive back.
When I return, the manager offers to give me the nuggets that I have already paid for. I tell her the rest of my food has gone cold. They refuse to replace the items. They refuse to even check. They refuse me a refund. When I tell them that I will return, they act like theyre being threatened! Over chicken nuggets?
GIVE ME A BREAK!
I've gone to McDonalds a ton of times over my 40+ years. I've had things go wrong many, many times. To err is human.
This was the very first time I've ever seen a manager fail on such a colossal level. I've worked in food and beverage for at least 15 years. Companies account for spoilage, accidents, etc. It's built into their budget, in fact.
But they make money from customers. They acknowledged that they made a mistake, but they failed to do what was right. I paid for a hot meal. I was not given one. I was not apologized to. They did not fix their mistake. They did not refund me. I did not receive the items I paid for. And they treated me like I'm the one who was problematic. Over 10 lousy chicken nuggets.
Not all McDonalds are as fundamentally flawed as this one seems to be. How anyone can be given a position of responsibility and not understand the core principle of making your customers happy, or giving them what they paid for, is absolutely incomprehensible.
It is not a stretch to assume that the person who appointed this person a manager has made similar errors in judgement, and that the entire staff is suspect. You can expect customers to be upset when you fail to meet their expectations, and even more so when you fail to do so when they make you aware of it!
At THIS location, at Cundles and Duckworth, you can expect to be gaslit when you complain about their blatant disrespect. Until they refund me for the items I still have not received, this is technically theft!

Read moreWhat a disaster!!!!! For fast food this place isn’t very fast and that’s just the start! I waited over 24 minutes for two cheeseburgers and there was no one in line a head of me. It was change of shift I assume as a bunch of staff were leaving. I watched one staff member whom I assume is a leader as she was in the white collared shirt instead of the black uniform ring herself through, with her jacket on then go back into the food prep area and tell the staff she’ll get her own, take a wrap off the counter (which was probably for a customer who was waiting like I was) then go grab fries. While still at the fries stand she shoves some in her mouth with a couple falling to the ground. She leaves those on the ground walking away chewing with her mouth open. Her manager Anthony standing there with his clipboard of course didn’t do anything about this. This girl was wearing her dirty outdoor jacket on food prep not to mention didn’t wash her hands after using the till. Then there were girls talking about how they just got their eye brows done and who’s going to get them done. Standing at the cash. How inappropriate for you to be standing around talking when people are waiting to order and waiting to pick up food. Again Anthony the manager not doing anything. I’m sorry at one point Anthony did something other then stand with his clipboard. He flirted with a young girl who was playing with her ponytail talking and flirting with him then proceeded handle orders without washing her hands!
