Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint — Restaurant in Barrie

I'm really disappointed that I had such a TERRIBLE experience here! I was really looking forward to eating here and making this my go to spot in Barrie!

I came here with my Aunt & Cousin to grab a quick lunch to take over to the rest of our family that was waiting at the beach. We spent over an hour waiting for food. We ordered around 1:30 with a difference in ordering time between myself and my cousin of about 10mins. The place was PACKED! And there wasn't much direction of where/who to order from to begin with. Despite all of this we remained patient and went to take a walk around the area to clear up some space by the front doors.

We headed back in at about 2pm I asked if my food was ready and the lady grabbed it from beside her (which looked like it had been sitting for awhile) I THEN received my text it was ready. I then had to wait for my cousins food to come out so we could leave, part of her order came out about 10mins later however it was only half of her order. We were so hungry we both just ate our fries right there on the spot! Her second half finally comes out after we have now made a complaint of the wait however it is the WRONG pizza! At this point we have waited an hour and a half and our first half or the orders are cold!

The manager came over and realized we were in fact waiting for a very long time and acknowledge that the food was cold. She said she would have the Pizza's re made and promised they would only take an additional 10mins, we agreed to this.

The pizza's came out within 10 mins as promised. I had asked if my sauce was in the box and she said yes.

Now once I got back to the beach (3pm) I open my box and there is no sauce... My cousin opens hers and there are 2 sauces , ok fair. She hands me one and as I go to use it I find it is half used with food chunks already in there!

I was NOT going back to the restaurant as at this point I was absolutely FED UP and DISGUSTED! I wrote to them via Instagram and have yet to heard...

We went to Pie a few weeks ago around 8:00pm for dinner and the pizza was excellent. The salads and apps were good too. The issue with this place has more to do with the staff or more likely the management. We listened to foul language, cat calls and whistles from the boys in the kitchen. The waitress we had was nice and professional, but it just seemed like the kitchen was out of control. We called to speak with the manager about the inappropriate language the next day especially since our kids were with us. We figured if there was a manager there, they were part of the problem. The manager was nice and said she would address the issue and invited us to come back in and she would take care of us.

Last night around 5:00pm we went in for an early dinner. The restaurant only had a few other guests so we requested a window booth. The hostess took us to the very last booth because all the others were dirty. We sat for 20 min waiting for a waitress. There were quite a few of them at the front of the restaurant near the bar but only one clearing tables and slamming the dishes in the bin. We assumed she was upset at being the only one working. All the other booths along the side were clear but not wiped so we got the last booth. We requested to speak with the manager who seemed indifferent to the fact we were waiting so long. We asked him to have a table cleaned further up and he acted like we were interrupting him. We left. What a waste of time that was.

We will never go back. It really is too bad because the pizza is excellent.

My advice to the owners is to install cameras and check in on your staff. This place also needs a really good clean and maybe some fresh paint. There is no excuse for dirty dishes and cutlery on the table. We had to go to another table both times to pick through to get clean ones. The management really needs to fix these problems. It’s not enough to have good food, good service and a clean establishment are...

If you're a fan of pizza, then you simply have to check out this amazing pizza restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by the warm and welcoming ambiance, and the friendly staff will make you feel right at home.

I'm in Barrie every so often and had the pleasure of sitting at the bar during my last visit (look for a sweetheart named Rosie, she's the best), and I have to say that the servers were simply awesome. They were not only beautiful, but also incredibly attentive, making sure that my every need was met and my experience was unforgettable.

Jay, one of the pizza guys in the kitchen was a true master of his craft, and his passion for pizza was evident in every delicious slice that he created. I felt truly special as I watched him prepare my pizza with care and attention to detail.

And the pizza itself? Well, it was simply out of this world. The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. I usually order the ultimate Canadian and lucky for me Jay also brought out a St. Lucia pizza for me to try. Absolutely delicious! Thanks again Jay!!!

Overall, I can't recommend this pizza restaurant highly enough. From the beautiful servers to the talented pizza chef, everything about this place is top-notch. So if you're in the mood for some amazing pizza, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself! Lastly, big shout out to Heather for always taking good care of me whenever I come in....
