Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Brampton

Was seated right away as it was a slow weekday morning. Ordered the new Mexican omelet and strawberry cheesecake french toast. Specifically told the server that we do not need any meat in the omelet. She came back later, brought coffee. 25 minutes later, our order came. I dug in the omelet and instantly picked a piece of sausage. Looked for our server, but she was busy. The other server came, with not a very happy face and asked and when we mentioned that we had ordered the omelet without meat, she just picked up our plate and left, without any apology, excuse, not even a word. The first server then came and said “Oh theyre going to fix it for you” and left. 5 minutes later, the new omelet came, visibly hasty and undercooked. I am not one to make noise, so we quietly just checked to make sure no meat and ate until we could not. There was hardly anything but sweet pepper. By this time even our french toast was all cold. We were given a small discount, without us asking for it, on the omelet but not happy with the way the matter was handled. You’re messing with someone’s dietary resitrictions/limitations-at least apologize or smile and be kind, instead of just ignoring the entire thing...

This is for the service. I haven't got the opportunity to get something and taste it from here. I came to this location after seeing all theses reviews. I came today on Feb 14th to get some pancakes. I waited there like 15-20 mins and the reception girl even didn't ask me why i am here. She is busy with online order. It's not like store was busy and she missed me. Its me and one more girl to order or pickup. After some time the girl who was standing near to me called receptionist and asked I have an pick up order. The receptionist helped her first even asking me why I am there. After I lost my patience I asked don't you guys accept walk-in orders or just online orders. For that she said we accept walk-in orders. Then again she took like 5 mins to come and ask me what would I like to order.i said I need pancakes and asked her how much time it will take. She said 20 mins. I don't want to spend 40 mins for just 3 pan cakes and I left. If anyone wants something please order online and then go to store. I know we all are going through pandemic but it was complete ignorance by the reception who worked on Feb 14th 2021...

We love Sunset Grill as we consistently go to a location near our house however sometimes we are in this area so drop by this location. The first two visits were great without issue however our third visit was a slight disappointment. It was mid-week and not very busy that particular day. The potatoes were cold and harder than usual. It tasted like they were precooked and just added to our plates. Throughout our 45 min stay, we noticed none of the two cooks were grilling up potatoes. They just stood around or cooked other food. Which led to our suspicions that the potatoes were possibly precooked in large batches earlier this why they were hard and cold. Almost inedible. The rest of the meal was great. Only other thing was my husband ordered coffee and asked for milk and sweetener and the waitress failed to bring the sweetener. We waited about 5 mins hoping she would remember. So we had to awkwardly stand up to get the attention of the waitress who sat down to put napkins and cutlery together. We would still try this location again as maybe this day it...
