There is a reason this place has such a low rating. Service is sub-par to say the least. We ordered the lunch special and told the server that we want the soup that comes with the special rather than the drinks on 2 out of 4 orders. Our order arrives and the main comes first. We kept waiting for the soup and drinks but nothing. I finished half my plate and still nothing. Had to get up and walk over to the counter to followup on the status of the soups and waitress says oh yes it’s just about to come out. I noticed another table behind us who had been waiting quite a while did not even get their order taken and one person from that table also had to get up to get the waitresses attention. 25 min in my table has finished the meal and still no soup or soft drinks. Hilarious! I noticed other patrons coming into the restaurant and waiting on getting their food ordered and also complaining about the delays and the funniest part out of all this is the restaurant wasnt even busy😄. Regarding my soup I finally got a hold of the server for the 3rd time and said just at least get my drinks even though we finished our meal. Finally she got our drinks. Unfreakin-believable. Paid my bill, first time ever I did not leave a tip. Food was ok...I would recommend Faleys if your in the Toronto area and Chung-Moi if you are in the Scarborough area. Singapore gardens for the brampton area. Needless to say NEVER returning to China palace. Suggestions: change the management/ownership. business should pay more attention to their customers. This establishment is so unorganized that although it appears their focus is more on takeouts, they can’t even get that right as people arriving for pickup had things missing from their order. People reading this please consider these notes before heading to China palace so that you know what to expect. Better...
Read moreVery nice and clean place. The service was slow, took 30 mins to get our food. Please DO NOT get the hot and sour soup , it was not good. All i tasted was coriander and veges, one of the worst hot and sour soups ive had. The saving grace for this place was the Manchurian chicken which is a must try it was amazing! One of best ive had. The Shanghai noodles were good as well Also tried the China palace chicken which was okay... if you dont like spicy then you will like it. I asked them to make it extra spicy but wasnt at all.
Overall i would like come back to this place but the food needs alot of work! Your Manchurian chicken was amazing, make dishes like that!
Plus the prices are a bit pricey, if you have an better place to choose from then take the extra drive and go there until they change up...
Read moreThe customer service here is absolutely garbage. It is worse than the food. The waitress majorly needs training on providing good customer service. I nicely asked to have a booth and she denied my request by saying they are busy today. I didn't understand what that meant because they had 3 families eating and many empty tables including 2 booths left to fit expected customers. I asked her again and she ignored me. I spoke to the manager and he supported her by saying it takes time to clean the tables. I was at a loss of words because firstly, they define "busy" as 3 families at prime dinner time on Valentine's Day. Secondly, they don't care about customers. By the time our food came, the booths were all clear, and only one other family was eating...this number remained till...
