We arrived Friday evening around 8 pm. We decided to order 4 of the classic chicken sandwiches, which was the special. About 10 minutes after we ordered, we saw the young man who took our order come running out of the back and out the front door. About 5 minutes after that, my friend walked up to the counter to see how our order was coming... They should have been ready in 15 minutes, right? As he's standing there, he can see into the back, and there sit on the prep counter 4 partially made chicken sandwiches....buns, mayonaise, and chicken. Just sitting there. He asks " are those my sandwiches?" The reply was " yes, he's just gone to get lettuce, we ran out.". First-4 sandwiches, partially made, with mayonaise sitting at room temperature. Second- how do you not know you are low on lettuce until you are halfway through making sandwiches? The young lady said he'll be right back. My friend said I'd rather cancel my order, I'm not eating those. To which she replied again. He'll be right back. I said at this point, we've already been waiting 20 minutes, just cancel our order. Someone came in to order, so we stepped aside to wait. About 10 minutes later another young girl comes to the counter and says here's your sandwiched. My friend said, I cancelled those and asked for my money back. To which she replied, but I made these fresh. No thank you, the young man had returned about 5 minutes before with 2 heads of lettuce. They didn't even have time to wash that lettuce, and put it on the new sandwiches. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience. Definitely have second and third thoughts...
Read moreMy son and I went there yesterday for lunch after some Christmas shopping and quite honestly I was so disappointed. We ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich, with a poutine and conveniently the fountain drinks was out of order so we ordered a coke and paid 18 and change... now here's the problem... I don't mind paying for food that is great but we waited 30 minutes give or take until we received our order, once the order was received the lady gave me the sandwich with the poutine and said "thank you!" I asked where the drink was and asked me if I ordered a drink (same person who took my order). We sat down to eat and the poutine was cold, barely any gravy and cheese was just placed there in all its curds (nothing was hot enough for the cheese to melt). But I told myself I had to be thankful I was able to have a meal... But to add insult to all of this the same lady came to survey and ask "how was the sandwich?" My son said politely "it was good" and she looked and me and asked "ma'am how was your experience?" I said "quite honestly the poutine wasn't that good and..." she stops me mid sentence saying "I'm not really asking about the poutine." I decided to be polite but wanted to get my point across and said "I do apologize for my comment but I would like you to know the fact that my son and I had to wait this long for food that wasn't that good isn't okay with me... I will not be recommending this place to anyone going forward." Don't waste your time or your money at this place... there's zero pride these people take in making this eating...
Read moreFirst off, Shout out to Sachin at this location 🫡 he was working in the kitchen, there was a lot going on and he made my chicken sandwiches with care, much appreciated sir.
Alright, so visited Churchs one Saturday ago (from writing this review), and it's was probably around 1130am, and Google & storefront signs mention it's open from 11am onwards.
We went in, and there was some, what looked like chaos/short staffing going on, plus a food delivery, so front of house was not quite ready, and mentioned the store doest open till 12 noon. No real issue for me as it was too long from then.
Sachin was working hard in the back, and was getting Uber/door dash orders ready, as well as fielding orders from front of house.
Anyhow, I ordered 3 special/on offer chicken burgers (Mexican style), each was 8 dollar a pop, I figured they would be small, but they were a decent size.
The burger to my suprise was enjoyable, if I got this super fresh, it would have been 5 star for the food for sure. The sandwich imo is better than what KFC (Canada) has on offer, side note KFC (UK) Zinger Burgers (not available in Canada) are next level. So the churches chicken burger came somewhat close to this, hence my suprise and enjoyment.
I'll prob pop back at a less hap hazard time and check out some other options (tenders seemed to be quite popular...
