Came here with my wife after visiting Gage Park. It's a new restaurant with nice decor. Staff were friendly, and the ambiance was nice. Since they are new it's understandable that they don't have everything ready just yet i.e., menu. That being said, I found the food items that they had to be basic and things you can find at your local grocery store. We ordered a chai and I found the taste to be average. My wife tried to add some sugar/ take it home to add milk etc but it wasn't much better in taste. I also found the price/quantity ratio to be off. After taxes we paid about $4.80 for our chai. For reference, you can go to places like Milan or even Chai Pani and pay slightly less for more quantity. This is an honest review and I'm sure that the things I've complained about will be better with more experience. I'd like to genuinely give this place another shot in the future once they're a bit more...
Read moreUnfortunately I went by the ratings which praised the chai so much- I ordered karak chai and my friend ordered the cardomom one. Both were disgusting and watery. It was double cupped but we still needed a third cup, as it was piping hot and we could not hold it. Not sure what was in my karak chai but it had my throat burning (not from hot temperature) at each sip similar to black seeds. The taste of whatever that was (long elachi??) was way too strong and overpowering, in a bad way. It took away from the authenticity of karak chai. I know what karak chai is, and this is definitely not it. Not sure if thatâs how Indian karak chai tastes, but it was horrible. Sorry, I canât sugar coat this rating- there are better chai places,...
Read moreDecided to grab chai from this place close to my house today around 7pm. We ordered one karak chai and one iced karak chai. Waited around 15 mins and when we finally got our order, it was the most watery chai ever. It was 90% water and 10% chai/sugar. Both chai tasted so bad that my husband and I threw it out after a few sips. I also asked for very little ice in my chai, especially asked the girl working there to put 3-4 cubes. When I got it, the glass was more than half full of ice which made the chai taste even worse. Was very excited to finally find a chai spot walking distance to us but will unfortunately not be returning. Also a bit costly for the quality. The girl however was really sweet and provided...
