Have dined in and ordered take out many times from here for over 10 years. One of my favourite places to go in the area for sushi. It's a bit more expensive than other places but the food quality is great. I'm never worried about quality. The fish and veg are never wilted, slimey or weird. They're fresh! Yesterday I ordered some take out. Spicy california rolls, tuna off the a la carte menu, and miso soup. First off, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect. There's not too much rice or roe like other places and the spicy mayo is sooo good. Crab was flavourful and avocado was fresh! Miso soup was good portion and tasted nice. My only issue was the tuna. The slices were a little thick in compairison to the tiny ball of rice underneath. Never had this issue before but I'm sure it's a one off! The fish was great it was just a huge amount of it at once and tuna is quite rich so it wasn't as enjoyable as usual and had to eat it in a couple bites. Inside of the restaraunt is clean and the staff is always very fast/friendly the second you walk in. Placed my order online and it was ready in 20 minutes, everything packed well (no spills) and perfect temp. Always reccomend this place to anyone looking for good sushi in the city!

This joint got all the right signs for a friendly neighborhood restaurant: quiet corner, not too many seats, and a warm hello once I walked through the door. The owner recognized a few customers as regulars during my visit. My take out order was executed promptly, and I was sent on my way. Spicy salmon rolls were the de facto choice, but I found spicy hamachi rolls as an option, so I had to try it. The rolls weren't as spicy as I would like, but the flavours were in the right places. The spicy hamachi rolls were way better, so they come highly recommended. I appreciate the fact that the server indicated which rolls were in the takeout container, instead of mindlessly dumping the rolls into place. I also ordered the chicken donburi, just to try. The chicken pieces were generous, tender, and tasty. The rice was adorned with seaweed bits, making it tasty on its own.

A welcoming sushi spot with a lively atmosphere. During my noon visit, the bustling restaurant was fully occupied, and the server mentioned a wait time exceeding 15 minutes for food. Seated in a room for eight, our tableware was initially sparse, but promptly replenished. With only one menu available, we had to request additional copies from the server. There was a minor mix-up with drink service, but we graciously accepted them. Opting for Lunch Bento #2, the dish impressed with its delightful presentation and delicious flavors. Accompanied by warm miso soup and another flavorful udon broth, the meal felt complete and satisfying. Despite the minor hiccups, the reasonable pricing and overall positive experience make me anticipate a return visit in the near future.

Not a bad restaurant, but not worth going out of your way for. Between the time we got a table to when we actually received some service must have been 10 minutes, which would have been longer if we hadn't waved down a server and made a face of frustration a couple of times. Prices were on the high side and as for the decor, they made it pretty high-endish with private rooms, each consisting of around 2-3 tables. I asked for the chirashi bowl and a friend got the soba noodles. The food took a pretty long time to make, around 20 minutes! While waiting they served us some complimentary seafood broth soup with crispy noodles, which was quite flavourful. Once the food arrived I was in shock by the size of the chirashi. I've never seen such a huge serving of that dish before, where I think it could be good enough for 2 people. However my friends soba noodles were a an average size, a bit too small for my appetite. As for me, I had to remove some of my rice but managed to finish all of the sashimi. I did however find that my meal was a bit bland compared to others that I've had. One thing I did appreciate was that when I asked them to add extra ginger into my meal, they definitely obliged and piled it on! I didn't really get much of a reaction from the soba noodles, other than that they were fine and nothing exceptional. So basically, I wouldn't say that I'll never go again, but it wont be my first choice for a...

I have ordered from here several time, tempura roll is fantastic and loaded, kalbi was excellent but portion of meat even the rice was very skimpy for the price. Truly great food however;

I ordered from here tonight for my son and husbands birthday as well as two other restaurants in Brampton that was 1/2 further than this restaurant through Uber Eats. I received my other two orders within the hour stated by Uber. I waited over two hours for 5 tempura deep fried rolls, Uber kept updating they were leaving would be here in 38 minutes five minutes before the specified time they said they we’re delivering multiple orders and moved the time 15 minutes than again 10 minutes longer than again 15 minutes. I had ordered over $350 from all three restaurants and when I called the store I was expecting them to say they would contact Uber and make it right but the person at the restaurant had no remorse and said it’s ubers fault which I agree was but if I was the owner manager or employee of this place I would do whatever I could to satisfy the customer. They obviously have a partnership with Uber and you would think they would take it serious because no matter what it’s there reputation and blaming their partner doesn’t matter to me I just wanted my order delivered on time and hot. I called Uber they offered me $12 for the inconvenience and I was stuck with deep fried sushi that...

EDIT UPDATED REVIEW:

Since they updated the menu, I decided to try a few things from here. Toshi's used to be my favourite go to place, but it has since gone downhill. Although Toshi's is closer to my house, I never order there anymore. Sushi House is definitely a new favourite! I particularly like their yam tempura roll and the classic veggie rolls. They have great selection for vegetarians/vegans.

Whenever my Toronto friends come visit, we always take them here if they are feeling for sushi. I have been told the fish is on par with Toronto given the price range. Definitely a thumbs up from us!

ORIGINAL REVIEW (3 STARS): I will definitely agree that the service is always friendly here. Whenever I do take out, they always give me a bowl of crunch soup and kindly seat me while I wait.

This place used to be a lot better before the owners have changed, particularly in the quality of the fish served. I had some tuna & salmon rolls recently that have been pretty dry, especially for the premium price they charge. It used to be all very fresh and tasty but has gone quite downhill from then. However, I do like their bibimbap but their rolls are just decent/okay. Used to come here a lot but found myself coming here a lot less as time went by. I expect a bit more...
