I had an absolutely terrible experience at this location. There are a few things that I have to mention for anybody looking to spend money here.
I have been to the Erin Mills location and it was a much better experience, unfortunately the Brampton location was disappointing.
We had a reservation for 8 PM, we went into the restaurant, got seated. We did not get a server until we asked for one almost 30 minutes later. Even after we asked, we did not receive a server, the individual just took our order and left.
Throughout the night we had to deal with 3/4 different employees serving our table. I am not sure why this was the case, but I have never experienced this at a sit down restaurant.
They also do not serve tap water, you have to get a bottle and plastic cups. It is an extremely cheap touch at a place where I am spending over $150.
Not sure what the rationale behind this is. We are still using your cutlery, your glass cups if we BUY a drink, but you cannot serve tap water?
I do not blame the employees working there, they seemed to be untrained and very flustered. The management really needs to step up.
I am not sure if its the meat they are using, but it is extremely fatty (see picture attached, this was all fat) . There is no marbling on the meat and the seasoning is extremely disappointing. If I am paying $60+ dollars for steak that I cannot even enjoy, it is disappointing. There is another review that shares the same concern.
In terms of service, My steak came 15-20 minutes before my partners. Again, this is strange service. When I raised this concern at the restaurant, I was told that it is because my steak is a different size.
This is the first time I have ever heard this at a steakhouse, and I have been to quite a few. It should not take 15-20 minutes more to make a SMALLER steak, especially when they are both ordered at the exact same time.
By the time the other steak came, my stone was already cold. Another table across from us had the same issue with cold stones, they were told that it would take more time to get a hotter stone.
Once again, it is extremely disappointing to go to a sit down steak-house and receive this level of service. After reading multiple reviews about the same problems that I had, I am not sure why it is not being taken seriously.
To the management:
A lot of business is coming to you because you are a halal steak-house. If you want to keep the business, you have to increase your standards. Train your staff properly and maintain some consistency in your service. I never write reviews after a bad experience, but too many things went wrong at once. Even after raising concerns, I was offered explanations and that is all. I have been to steakhouses before, It should not take 15-20 mins between orders coming out for TWO people. I hope you can be better.

Read moreI don’t even know where to begin our experience at Black Stone was an absolute nightmare, and they’ve lost our business for life. We spent over $500, expecting a nice meal, and instead, we were treated to the most unprofessional, frustrating experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
First, my friend ordered a dish that’s supposed to come with a black stone, but instead of that, they brought him the chef’s special. When he pointed out the mistake, the staff argued with him, insisting he had ordered the wrong thing, even though the receipt clearly showed the error was theirs. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they handed him the black stone after the fact expecting him to cook the wrong steak himself on it. It completely ruined the whole vibe of the dish. He had to try and salvage his meal by cooking it on a stone that should’ve been part of the original dish presentation. It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and utterly ridiculous.
And let’s not forget my meal. I ordered a medium-well steak, and what I received was so overcooked it could’ve been used as a paperweight. That alone was bad enough, but the real problem was the staff’s complete lack of accountability. The woman who took our order, a skinny Indian lady, confirmed everything with us at least three times, yet still managed to mess up my friend’s order. When he pointed out the mistake, instead of taking responsibility and fixing it, she actually tried to blame him and gaslight him into thinking he had ordered wrong. It was infuriating.
To make matters even worse, after she realized she’d messed up, she started speaking to her coworkers in Punjabi right in front of us. We have no idea what she was saying, but it was clear she was talking about the situation, and honestly, it was incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. It felt like she was talking down about us, and it only added to the already horrible experience.
The only positive of the night was that they charged my friend for the stone dish, but honestly, that’s the bare minimum after everything that went wrong. The staff was rude, dismissive, and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. They turned a simple mistake into a full-blown circus, treating us like the problem rather than taking responsibility for their own errors.
Black Stone has completely lost our business for life. We will never be back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If you want to be treated with respect and actually get what you pay for, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. This place is a joke don’t waste your time...
Read moreUpon entering this establishment, my anticipation was heightened by the tantalizing aroma wafting from the kitchen. The ambiance appeared pleasing at first glance, but the illusion quickly shattered as I encountered the glaring presence of cheap billboards in the greeting area, leaving me with an initial sense of disappointment.
The welcome from the greeter was rather lackluster, as they simply pointed us towards a seating area without much enthusiasm. It wasn't until some time had passed that we realized we needed to scan a barcode to access the menu – a rather unconventional and slightly frustrating approach.
Opting for the ribeye and striploin, both priced at a substantial $50 each, alongside a guacamole dip as an appetizer, our dining experience began with a lukewarm serving of water. However, it was the appetizer that managed to salvage our expectations, arriving with a burst of flavors and delightful textures that teased our taste buds.
Sadly, when it came time for the main course, the presentation was visually appealing but marred by the questionable choice of serving the dishes on a cutting board that had clearly seen multiple previous users. To make matters worse, despite assurances that these dishes were meant to be medium rare, the meat arrived distinctly rare, lacking the desired succulence and flavor.
In a desperate attempt to salvage the flavor, we reached for the salt, only to find that the salt shaker was so clogged with residue that not a grain could be coaxed out. A request for two sprites (as alcohol was not offered) resulted in drinks served in cans with straws, a disappointing choice given the caliber of the meal. To add insult to injury, one of the sodas was served warm.
When indulging in a meal priced at over $50 per plate, one should reasonably expect a higher level of service and attention to detail. It's disheartening to note that this establishment fell short of these expectations, leaving me with a sense of disappointment rather than the culinary satisfaction I had anticipated. A simple glass and ice for my drink, along with better attention to detail in the kitchen, could have gone a long way in elevating this...
