Buster's Pizza & Donair — Restaurant in British Columbia

We discovered Buster's in August this year when we had to let go of our former Pizza place (they changed the recipes and toppings and we were no longer enjoying it).

We didn't have high hopes as all the local pizza places we had tried were mediocre at best - horrendous at worst (and the majority fall into this category).

So when we received our first order back in August we were full of trepidation; we smelled the pizza our noses tried to tell us "hey this smells freaking awesome" and then we ate, and ate and ate and ate - our taste buds were in a state of euphoria!!! Fresh toppings, lots of cheese, nice thick pan pizza style crust that is thick, crispy on the outside and just perfect inside - their dough is the best in the Okanagan bar none.

We have ordered all of their main items: pizza, pasta, donairs (with the real donair sweet sauce that is the only sauce back east where they first became popular in Canada) - their donairs are even better than their best pizza in town: meat so tender it almost melts in your mouth, the tangy and zippy spice combination from the meat with the savoury veggies and lightly sweet sauce - Donair heaven! The Jumbo is so large that my wife and I order one and cut it in half to share and it is still too much!

Quick delivery, if you order online you get an email summary with the all the details and if there is ever a mistake the store is prompt at fixing.

An example of this is when we placed our very first order they were having issues with their new mobile payment system and it accidentally charged us twice - they manager/store fixed it and treated us very well.

Truly a group of people who care about their clients and the products they sell.

Busters Pizza...

I don’t want to be misunderstood. We have had pizza from here for the last two summers, as well as Donairs. The food has always been 10 out of 10 for their traditional pizzas. Yesterday we decided to try their donair pizza. Coming from Nova Scotia it is one of my all time faves. We got the pizza home and honestly we thought it was a mistake. It was for the most part a hamburger pizza. My son thought they mistakenly gave us the cheeseburger pizza. I called today and spoke to a very nice gentleman. I explained the Donair pizza was terrible! When you added Donair sauce to it, it gave the pizza a sour taste. We ended up throwing over half the pizza away.

If I could challenge management to one thing. Run a special for one week. Use your traditional strips of Donair meat which taste wonderful. Don’t use hamburger. I can promise you it will be a hit with your customers! It’s very easy to do, I use to make them myself when I worked for Donair Shops in Nova Scotia. Cook the Donair meat 3/4 of the way before adding it to the pizza to finish cooking in the oven. Add lots of mozzarella. Before serving put several lines of sweet donair sauce from a squeeze bottle on-top. It will be a hit trust me.

The food was supposed to be delivered in 1hr came 10min early which was nice and the food was hot and fresh (we live just down the road). Everything tasted good. We ordered curly fries, pizzas and Donairs. Good portion for the price. Our only issue was with the driver. Before even saying hi she complained that we didn't pre-tip (which I never ever do and drivers like her are the reason why). If we tip its after we see good service (driver please remember your job is delivering, its literally what you are paid for, my tip isn't your wage. If you need more money I suggest finding a new job). After the verbal abuse we gave her a small tip but let her manager know she's harrasing the customers for money and even mentioned other drivers needing their tips (I didn't see those drivers at my door lol.. Am I to tip the entire staff?). Honest we loved the food and I wish I could give it 5 stars. We will never order delivery again. My less than 2$ of gas to drive there and back is worth not seeing that...
