I'm going to start with this: it was my first time there and I definitely won't be going back. Went there on a Friday for lunch with a group of about 7 guys. The restaurant was not busy at all and we did get seated right away. The server got us our drinks promptly, and that's where our experience starts the sour. We didn't order our food right away, but once we did it took about an hour for us to receive our food; and one person in the party only ordered a side of fries. Once we got our food, it didn't impress us either. Many situations service and food will balance each other out when one is bad to keep the experience somewhat pleasant, this wasn't the case. It was apparent that our food had been sitting for quite some time before being brought out to us. Warm fries, I can begrudgingly live with that. What was most displeasing was that one of my friends burger bun was actually cool to the touch on top. It wasn't frozen cold as if it had just come out of the fridge, but it was noticeably cool when you touched it. As for my Fish Tacos, I wasn't expecting much yet they still managed to disappoint. The pieces of fish were pretty tiny and were surprisingly quite hard; I can't be certain if it was because they were overcooked or due to sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period.
I do have some sympathy for busy understaffed restaurant. However, like I mentioned before there were plenty of tables open and I did notice at least 3 different servers on staff at that time, so I don't think review is a reflection of being understaffed. During our prolonged wait for our orders our server did continue to check in on us. However, only to get us more drinks, she only offered one update of "your food is coming up shortly" when one of us asked about 40min into our wait. I can be understanding if mistakes were made, but with no real update or apology for an hour wait for simple burgers and sandwiches, I find that...
Read moreCame here with my fiance and future mother in-law. My fiance and I are not from the area, we're in town to visit my future father in-law in HOSPICE after driving all day, and then saying good by to a dad, a husband, a father in-law we decided we needed to eat somewhere so we went here. My mother in-law has many, many dietary restrictions. To the point where she pre makes all of her own meals ahead of time and brings them where she goes. (These meals consist on 99% chopped vegetables, and sometimes a little oven roasted chicken) Upon entering the restaurant, we asked the hostess (after explaining her dietary restrictions) if it would be okay if my mother in law brought in her food, and that my fiance and I would be ordering off the menu. She very politely agreed and said of course that's fine. Minutes after sitting at our table we were approached by a kitchen staff member who told us he spoke his manager, and that she could not have her own food there. Because the risk of "allergies" Seriously? Its chicken and a few chopped vegetables... nothing different than what you're serving up in your kitchen, except that it probably tastes better. My fiance now in tears at this point explained that her father is dying and that we just wanted to have something to eat and that her and I would be ordering off the menu. Didnt matter. We were told we could stay, but she wouldn't be able to eat. What were we supposed to have my mother-in law sit there and watch us eat? No thanks. We'll take our business elsewhere. And we did just that. We went to another local restaurant just down the street. We sat down explained the dietary restrictions to the server, she says "absolutely, no problem" even brought her a plate to she didnt have to eat it out of a Tupperware container. Dont worry, I'll be writing them a 5 star review...
Read moreWent for dinner with friends and our young kids and had a horrible experience with our waitress Vanessa right from the start. She was rude and seemed to be annoyed with having to serve us. She orovided part of our party at the table with their bill and allowed them to pay but completely neglected to ask the rest of us if we would like ours as well, so after patiently waiting to see if she would come back my husband finally had to stand up and get her attention to request our bills, then she got mad when the tip wasn’t to her satisfaction at the end…Making comments under her breath while still at the table and slamming the debit machine down infront of my friend for her to pay for her bill. The manager came out shortly after to apologize but it didn’t feel all that sincere since the whole time he was trying to excuse her behaviour by saying it was busy and she’s his “best” waitress… I’ve waitressed before for years and never treated customers the way she did busy or not it was completely unacceptable and disgusting. The manager tried offering us $25 dollar gift cards which we politely declined as we will never be returning to this establishment. 0 stars if I could. HIGHLY do...
