Went to this food joint at the mall for the first time. Ordered 2 Peri peri chicken burgers and large fries. It was lovely that they food was all fresh and made In front of you. There had been only two people working at the place. Seemed to be owners of the restaurant given that they were the only two holding the fort taking orders and preparing them too. The lady making the burgers seemed uninterested in preparing the burgers. When preparing the burgers she asked us about the topping on the first one and seemed to have forgotten that we got a 2nd one too. Turns out the 2nd one (patty) was on another orders bun and toppings for that burger. While packing our order she realised that she messed up and begun prepping the 2nd bun w/ the toppings we asked for . She hastily dumped the toppings on it, took our orders 2and chicken patty off the other burger, scraped the cheese off it (which transfered it back to the other orders burgers bun - which looked to be a beef patty burger ) and packaged it for us. After seeing all this happen I tried to being it up with her but she was not having any of it and said that in was wrong and that the other burger was another customers (which I already knew...duh) and it was still getting cooked. Took my stuff and walked out of the store. Fries were good and the burger was 100% sub par for the price paid, not to mention that the patty was overcooked and dry. Knocked the burger joint off the list of places to try. Dont think I'll be going back ever again. Would much rather go to an A&W and not come out disappointed. I hope the other customer Is feeling good with his cross contaminated, chicken infused cheese on...
Read moreI don't think words can truly describe how bad this place is. Ordered a 4 oz true north burger combo for just over $12. Figured at these prices for fast food burgers, I was in for a treat. Ordering is similar to subway in that you have them assemble your bun for you with condiments and toppings at yo choice. The woman preparing buns was possibly the most uncaring and unpleasant person I've ever come across making food. And I used to work in the industry way back when. She prepared and assembled my burger somewhat to my liking only after i instructed her on how to do it. She had no idea. Now the fries. A woman and I stood there for nearly 5 minutes while the fry cook(?) checked our tickets over and over while pacing around the prep area. There were no fries in the fryer. Finally after he checked our tickets a last time he decided to drop some fries in the dryer. Finally a few minutes later he presented some fries. Total time standing in line at the prep station 11 minutes. As for the actual food: Terrible. Simply awful. Burger patty was all at once, dry, incredibly thin, burned on the outside and still pink in the middle. Bacon was cold and undercooked, lettuce wilted and tomatoes grainy and gross. The special sauce was weird and the cheese seemed gritty. The french fries: now I see why I had to wait so long awkwardly for the fry cook to get me fries. A soggy mess. Barely warm. The oil was not hot enough.
I can count on one hand how many times in my life where I've returned food for a refund. This is one of them. I am absolutely amazed at the sheer ineptitude of the staff and disgusting product they are allowed to prepare. Avoid...
Read moreAs a Food Technologist and Nutritionist with many years of experience in the food industry, I believe in supporting establishments that prioritize quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, my recent visit to this burger shop in Tsawwassen was profoundly disappointing on all fronts. The experience began with high expectations, influenced by attractive promotional photos displaying gourmet-style burgers. However, the reality was vastly different. What was served bore little resemblance to the advertised images both in presentation and quality. The bread used was of the lowest quality, resembling inexpensive supermarket buns, and the overall ingredients lacked freshness and care in preparation. The burgers were poorly cooked, and the textures and flavors were subpar far below even average standards. Adding to the disappointment was the excessive wait time: over 50 minutes for just three burgers. During this time, it became clear that the staff lacked proper training and experience, which was reflected in the disorganized service and lack of professionalism. The atmosphere itself did little to redeem the experience, feeling more like a rushed setup than a welcoming dining environment. Combined with the food quality, it made for one of the most unsatisfying dining experiences I've had in British Columbia. My son after first bite the burger, he put it down and ask me to go somewhere else and have another food. I do not recommend this establishment. There are far better options within Tsawwassen Mills and the surrounding area where time, money, and expectations are respected. Unfortunately, this visit was a waste...
