California Thai — Restaurant in British Columbia

I’ve been eating at California Thai in Tsawwassen Mills since the mall opened, but the experience has gone downhill to the point where I can’t recommend it at all.

The staff are awful—the students they hire at the front are rude and unprofessional, and the head chef is the worst of all. On top of that, their promotions are misleading. They never stick to their word and always come up with excuses, which makes the place feel stingy and dishonest.

This hasn’t just happened to me—multiple people have had the exact same issue. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, and after years of giving them chances, I can confidently say this place is one of the worst in the mall. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

One of the biggest problems with California Thai in Tsawwassen Mills is the way they treat customers. Their behavior changes from person to person, and it feels very inconsistent and unfair. Some people get treated decently while others are ignored, spoken to rudely, or denied promotions that should apply to everyone.

Worst customer service ever. I always go there for Thai chilli fish, but this time the meat was really hard seemed like it was in their racks for soo long. I went back and asked them to make a new one and this was around 6:30 pm, when the person said she cannot as when the one displayed on the racks are sold only then are we allowed to cook more. What a ridiculous excuse. This would particularly mean that if they made sufficient in the morning they won’t re cook. Moreover when I went ahead to ask for a refund, she charged me more. And then she refunded me again. But then when I noticed it was not refund, so this was actually a charge again. So 3 times this happened. She also refused to replace my food. I travel specially for their Thai chilli fish, and this time I am highly disappointed in their customer service. Line up was fast. They had 5 people working which was awesome. I got the 2 meats, plus veg or salad Medley 3 combo. I added extra veg. I paid a total of $16.78 including taxes. I do not feel that the value for the amount is necessarily good. From the picture they didn't supply enough protein in my opinion if I used the standard food court portions. Across the way into rh same food court is Bourbon Street Grill and I highly recommend them as opposed to California Thai. The noodles were stale and not much flavor. Just my opinion. See picture for the amount of Medley 3. I spoke to the cashier about the portion and asked if I could give some feedback. He just smiled and said ok and moved me along not wanting to hear my thoughts. I was a bit disappointed I couldn't provide any feedback and I see this as a way of not wanting any feedback whatsoever.
