Opa! of Greece – Tsawwassen Mills
5000 Canoe Pass Way, Tsawwassen, BC
Opa! of Greece is a well-known quick-service chain specializing in Greek-inspired cuisine, offering a variety of Mediterranean dishes at accessible prices. Located in the heart of Tsawwassen Mills’ food court, this location provides a convenient option for shoppers seeking a fast, casual meal. While the food is serviceable, some dishes lack the depth of flavor and portion sizes expected from a satisfying Greek dining experience.
Food
Calamari and Salad – 6/10
The dish consists of crispy fried calamari topped with onions, accompanied by a mixed salad. While the calamari had a light crunch, the portion size was underwhelming, and the texture leaned slightly chewy rather than tender. The seasoning was mild, making it an average offering that could have benefited from a more pronounced flavor profile. The salad, though fresh, was fairly basic, serving more as a complement rather than an enhancement to the dish.
Rice Snack Bowl – 7/10
A simple yet well-executed option, the rice snack bowl features warm pita, fresh tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños. The combination of ingredients provided a satisfying mix of textures and flavors, with the slight heat from the jalapeños adding a welcome kick. While not particularly complex, this dish delivered on its promise of a light, flavorful snack.
Service – 7/10
Service was prompt and efficient, with staff maintaining a friendly demeanor despite the fast-paced food court environment. Orders were prepared quickly, making it a reliable choice for those in a hurry.
Price
Pricing is affordable, making Opa! a budget-friendly option for Mediterranean-inspired fast food. The portion sizes, while not overly generous, are reasonable for the price point.
Ambiance – 8/10
Situated within the spacious and well-lit food court, the dining area is clean and bright, offering ample seating. While it lacks the charm of a standalone Greek eatery, it provides a functional and comfortable space for a quick meal.
Verdict
Opa! of Greece at Tsawwassen Mills delivers a decent fast-food take on Mediterranean cuisine. While the flavors are enjoyable, the portions and execution leave room for improvement. The rice snack bowl was a highlight, but the calamari could use a more refined preparation. For those seeking a quick and affordable Greek-inspired meal, it’s a convenient option, but not necessarily a destination-worthy experience.

Read moreI want to start this off saying how much I appreciate the next to authentic Greek food at OPA. However, this is not to commend OPA but rather to bring attention to an underlying matter at hand.
I was deeply disturbed and disappointed on the service I received on a recent trip to OPA. I never shy away from my usual order of a shrimp platter with no Greek salad. And with that request I always ask for more potatoes and rice. I work in the mall and this is something I look forward to ordering before my shifts. Yet I was denied of my right when asking for extra potatoes. I was told that "we could only give one potato per platter". But before that was not the case. To my utter shock I felt betrayed by something I had come to know and love so well. I don't think it was right what was said and I was very upset. I hope that you see to it this doesn't happen again and you take care of your loyal customers with their requests for one extra potato.
It pains me to say this but until this issue is resolved I will no longer entertain OPA's services, nor will I be partaking in eating at their...
Read moreI have visited many Opa's and it has always been my go to when in a food court that has one. The experience was disappointing to me.
I had ordered a meal, the menu said it was an additional $2.69 for a drink. I was shown the bottle drinks and was never given the option of the fountain drinks, so when I ordered the bottled cranberry juice, it was an extra $3.49 plus 10 cents bottle deposit. No one told me about the extra charge for the bottle drinks. That's misleading.
I was told to stand in the back to wait for my order, while everyone else was congregating with their trays right on the counter, so when my number was called, someone almost took my food, because they didn't check the number and just handed the food off.
The food was rather bland. I had the calamari with a Santorini Salad. There was no seasoning at all on the Calamari or the salad. For the most part, it was tasteless.
I never knew ordering food in a food court was so stressful. First you have to question if they overcharge, then you have to fight over people to get your food. Would I come back? I...
