Sushi Shop — Restaurant in Brossard

I got food from them a few times and everytime, it's been extremely difficult to talk with the staff due to language barriers (tried French and English). I had a hard time getting my order at the counter or even just asking if the drink was in the bag. The final straw for me is the restaurant sending the wrong order, which I couldn't eat due to pregnancy dietary restrictions, via UberEats, being unable to help over the phone and just telling us to come and get it (there's a reason we used a delivery service vs driving there ourselves... Which we explained countless time). UberEats refunded the order and instructed us to just reorder the same, which I did. Low and behold, they delivered the original order, which had been sitting on their counter for close to 2h if we trust the tracker. Extremely disappointing and could've led to food poisoning for me, had I not thrown it out. And after all of this, I still hadn't had dinner. I will avoid this place...

I use UberEats often and order at Sushi Shop. Last friday, I ordered from SushiShop on Taschereau at 6:43 PM. I received my order at 9:30 PM. Yes, you read right. nearly 3 hours. This is completely unnacceptable. During that time, I wasnt able to confirm my order was still coming (the restaurant's phone didnt work), I wasnt able to cancel my order either as it was being processed. Eventually, 2 hours later, a driver was finally assigned to my order, and I was able to communicate with him and he confirmed that the restaurant was indeed open and preparing my order. The driver himself waited for more than 45 minutes on site for my order. It goes without saying that I will never order from that place again. But I think that an explanation and apologies would be the very least I could get for...

Excellent service, même en ces temps difficiles. J'ai compris après trois réitérations de "ça s'en vient dans pas long" que les trois pauvres cuisiniers débordés auraient eu besoin de plus de temps que l'application BonApp ne leur en avait prévu pour préparer ma grosse commande entre 18 h et 19 h un dimanche soir (une bonne demi-heure de plus, disons). On m'a même offert un rouleau de mes sushis préférés en cadeau pour s'excuser de l'attente pour une commande prépayée (je n'en demandais pas tant et c'est un heureux fruit du hasard que c'était ceux-là, mais un gros merci pour cette belle surprise!) Le bol au poulet karaage est toujours aussi bon, le plateau Happy Hour toujours aussi appétissant et les crevettes popcorn sont une belle découverte. Sans oublier le nouveau bubble tea à la pêche placé à l'horizontale SANS AUCUN dégât dans mon sac!!! :-o (De la pure magie, ce truc!) Plus, une paille en carton sans plastique pour aller avec et l'explosion de saveur surprise des perles à la mangue en extra pour à peine 50 sous. Le tapioca goûtait bizarre par contre, j'essaierais plutôt la noix de coco à l'avenir. Cela a beau être un luxe que l'on ne se paierait pas toutes les semaines, à ce prix, le Sushi Shop sur Taschereau, c'est une valeur sûre à mes yeux, merci! Pas pris de photos, j'avais trop faim, mais celles des pubs sont presque identiques honnêtement, donc pas besoin.

I don't feel like translating the whole thing, yet I don't trust Google either to properly carry it along: excellent customer service, despite a somewhat illogical calculation of prep time in the BonApp app on a Sunday evening rush period (special thanks to the chef for the comped extra Philly maki about that, those happen to be my favorites!!); great food, loved the karaage chicken bowl, the popcorn shrimps, the Happy Hour platter as well as the new and somewhat eco-friendly-ish magically spillproof packaged peach bubble tea with cheap 50 cents extra mango juicy pearls. The tapioca pearls didn't taste that great though, might go for coconut next time. Although the price range of Sushi Shop is a bit expensive, borderline luxury treat we wouldn't go for daily nor weekly, this one on Taschereau is a safe/go-to choice for me. Thanks!
