We really enjoyed our food at this place. My wife and I both got burgers and they were cooked perfectly, not overdone, so juicy for sure! My sweet potato fries were incredible. The options and portions for kids were great and we were really thankful for the kids' eat free on family day deal. Thank you!! The main issue with the food was that there was a long hair in my sweet potato fries... I neglected to tell the server (Dragana) as I was distracted with 3 kiddos and well, she wasn't around very much.
That brings me to the service. Honestly, it left a bit to be desired. She was very friendly and courteous in our interactions. But... my wife asked for a pepsi and I just said water. When she left the table, she said "So 2 pepsis?" and then left too quickly for me to correct her. Had to go find her quick. She wasn't around much throughout dinner except once when she asked from behind our table if things were tasting okay. I don't know, maybe she was slammed with busyness? Always nice to have a conversation or two with the server throughout the experience. At the end, we asked for 2 boxes for food. She passed by once (twice?) without remembering to bring the boxes, we had to remind her again. In the end, the kids also never got their desserts that were supposed to come with their kids meals.
As for the atmosphere, it should be called Blk Swan Sports Bar, as their were about 10-15 TVs in a relatively tight space. Basically no empty walls. My kiddos had lots of options to be distracted instead of being present with us at table. We should have assumed this would be the case for a pub feel. Perhaps the management can consider having a table or 2 that is a bit "away" from the action or one day adding a wall to creating a separate dining room feel that is separate from the sports loving, rowdy bar side.
Will we come back, not sure. But if you live close, I'm sure this would be a 3.5-4 star place...
Read moreI ordered chicken fingers and fries. the fries were okay and the chicken fingers were great. I went with a couple friends. I came late, and my friends had wanted to sit outside and the waitress, who’s name we did not catch as she didn’t let us know, said she was not serving them outside. She did not greet me when I came to the table and took a while to grab me a menu. She eventually gave me my food when it came and walked away. She did not check in on us once or ask how the food was. Once leaving, I did not add a tip. I always leave my tips based on service, and she was not a good server at all. She was hovering over me while I was paying, and confronted me when I pressed no tip. My bill was only $22. She said there was no excuse for not including a tip and that she was doing me a service. I explained that I came late and she did not demonstrate the qualities that deserved a tip. My friend ended up tipping 18% because of her outrageous and unprofessional attitude towards my choice of tip. Especially after what she said to me, she was certainly undeserving of a tip. This lady was older with blonde hair and black eyeliner. I am unhappy with my experience. As someone who works in customer service, I understand the value of customer service. I won’t...
Read moreCame out for a friend's birthday. Showed up at 10pm. Atmosphere was amazing. Band was awesome! Service was great aswell until the bouncers showed and said someone complained about a guy in a blue button up shirt..we had a friend in a shirt like that and bouncers came over and said he had to go. No explanation except why. When I asked for a manager, they said if you want to speak to a manager you can go outside. No manager showed up and the head bouncer had this smug look on his face waving goodbye to us...again no explanation, no manager showed up. Place was amazing, however the security alone is the reason we won't go back. I will call management tomorrow and explain. I might add I'm the designated driver and this was the worst experience of management/security I have ever endured. I will update my...
