One star is too kind for the absolutely disgraceful service at this place. Sure, the food was good especially the shawarma pizza, but no dish in the world can cover up how shockingly rude and unprofessional the staff were.
From the moment we walked in, we were treated like a burden instead of customers. We were looking at the menu when the lady behind the counter started barking at us, to order on the other side, not once, but multiple times, even though we were already moving in that direction. It felt less like entering a restaurant and more like being screamed at in a boot camp.
When we finally placed our order, she ordered us to “sit over there” in the same nasty, dismissive tone as if we weren’t allowed to even look around at what else the restaurant offered. Apparently, in this establishment, curiosity is a crime and customers are an inconvenience.
But the final blow was in the prayer room. Our group was respectfully waiting while some of us were finishing prayer, when suddenly this same miserable excuse for hospitality starts screaming at us across the restaurant: “WHY AREYOU STANDING HERE?!” Absolutely no class, no patience, no respect, not even basic human decency.
If you value your dignity even a little bit, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. No food is good enough to make up for being treated like garbage. Shameful. This business has no idea what hospitality even means, it’s almost impressive how hostile they manage to be. Never coming back. And I’ll be making sure everyone I know hears...
Read moreUnfortunately today our whole experience was ruined by a worker lady, she looked almost angry that we came to order, made faces at us when we were trying to order and wouldn’t help us at all, i saw her mocking and laughing at an old customer as they left too. My brother went to ask for the wifi password, their wifi is called “halal pita guest” and the kind worker man was going to put the password in his phone but the same rude lady glared at him and signalled no no no with her head and he got a little scared, told my brother ‘sorry we are out of wifi maybe we will have it tomorrow’ . Like??? Not coming here again. I think maybe your worker lady is racist against desi/brown people. I came here two years ago and the pizza was really good, today even the pizza was bad, i guess it wasn’t made with love. Not to mention the table was not clean and there was a fly around. Im so disappointed and hurt i felt like crying, i had one slice and asked my brother to leave…..
Edit: it’s evident by the way the owner of La pita replied that the owner has no manners which is why the staff is also pathetic. There are so many complaints about your rude and unprofessional staff because that is the reality, instead of asking your customers to “go see a doctor” “look into your soul” you should focus on cleaning your tables and training your staff and...
Read moreI stopped by La Pita Halal and Shawarma in Burlington and ordered the BBQ Mix (Sultani double portion) with a Fattoush salad, and honestly, it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while.
The BBQ mix came out on a long platter that looked amazing right away. The beef kebab had that perfect charred look with a smoky aroma, and the chicken cubes were golden, juicy, and packed with flavor. I really liked how they paired it with a bed of yellow rice, a drizzle of garlic sauce, and a few roasted cherry tomatoes—it made the whole dish pop both visually and taste-wise. The portion was generous, but every bite felt well-seasoned and satisfying.
The Fattoush salad was the perfect side—fresh, crisp vegetables with a tangy dressing, and the crunchy pita chips on top gave it just the right texture. It balanced out the richness of the BBQ really well.
What stood out to me was how nicely everything was presented. It wasn’t just tasty, it looked inviting and colorful too, which made the whole experience even better. Add to that the cozy, warm vibe inside the restaurant, and it felt like a meal that hit all the right notes.
Bottom line: if you’re in Burlington and craving Middle Eastern food, La Pita is definitely worth a visit. The BBQ mix is a must-try, and pairing it with the fattoush makes it a perfect meal. I’ll definitely...
