Chef's Door - Premium Shawarma — Restaurant in Burlington

November 22, 2019: In Burlington this is the best shawarma I have had!!! It recently opened and the quality is amazing! I find now a days a lot of shawarma places are opening up but their quality is poor. In Burlington if you want shawarma this is the place. It's clean, friendly and delicious food. I would love to try the rest of the menu! The price is also perfect for the quality and size.

November 23 , 2019: I have to update my review as I visited the place for the second time and was a disappointed in the level of service I received. I understand you only have a lunch size for the chicken on the rocks but when you say you can accommodate me for the dinner size by eliminating the salad and potatoes. I expect to get a little more chicken with all that extra rice for the price of the dinner. The answer should not be I have to check with the manager but he's not here today and this is the amount we put for dinner. Also that amount of chicken is fine if I was receiving potatoes and salad with it. This did not justify the price I paid for only extra rice....You should have mentioned that before I paid for my food so I could have made an informed decision. I would have bought to lunch sizes for what I wanted.

Regardless of the service and the extra charge for dinner, the food was amazing.

I hope management will train staff to better handle customer inquiries and if they are unable to help, saying you don't know but will find out for the next time is at...

Went on September 20 at around 9:00pm and had a terrible experience. We ordered 2 of the Friday specials, one with fries and one with the Rice. When we sat down to eat our meal, the rice has clearly gone rancid and we both were disgusted. I have no idea how any of the staff could serve that rice as the smell alone was off. I immediately went up to tell them about it and for them to try it. One of the employees said that the rice was fine at lunch which if true is absolutely terrible and I hope people didn’t eat that as it could make you extremely sick if fully consumed. I asked for my money back and the best they would do is give me back $2 of my $10 spent... Obviously, the staff lack training in preparation of food and how to handle customer complaints.

Now I wish I could end my review there but unfortunately there was another issue. As we sat down to eat our food, the 3 employees began arguing with each other and made it really uncomfortable for us to enjoy our food. I see why the restaurant is empty every time we’ve come in with the service and bad food.

I sincerely hope the owner or manager takes this seriously and makes improvements. I will never eat here again nor will I ever encourage my friends to ever eat here. However if criticisms are taking seriously and the restaurant is improved that I may try the...

New to the area, thought I would try this restaurant out. The first day got a pita combo which was amazing thought I would go back to try something else out, got the chicken dinner. While I was eating my food I noticed there was an earwig (insect/bug) in my food. I threw up. This has never ever happened to me. I called the restaurant the lady was nice and mentioned it has never happened and was willing to give me a refund & drive to me but I refused. Will not be going back, just wanted to write this review to see if anyone else has experienced this. I wasn’t going to write this review the lady was very nice but the guy that I spoke to, was only concerned about was me writing a bad review and not my health I felt sick all day. The lady had the decency to ask if I was okay.

LOL at the owners response very unprofessional ... yes a bug crawled into the bag opened the container and imbedded itself into the rice. It was a DEAD bug in the rice. Your wife would of told you I was on lunch, didn’t have very much time and why would I want any interaction with you guys after that. Was very close calling health and safety but I could care less about a place I wouldn’t be coming back to. Very immature wouldn’t bother my time going to a restaurant where there can’t take accountability for there...
