I honestly haven't been this infuriated in a long time. I came with my 5-year-old for brunch at 1 PM today, and the experience was beyond terrible. The waiter took forever just to come take our order. I had to get someone else to fetch him. When he finally showed up, he brought my coffee but forgot all the condiments, leaving me searching for him for 10 minutes until my coffee was cold.
After 45 minutes, I had to flag someone down to check on our food because the waiter was nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there with a starving 5-year-old who had already filled up on juice. People who sat down after us (over 30 min later then us) got their kids' food within 5 minutes, while we were still waiting. Finally, the owner brought our food, but it was wrong and included a piece of burnt toast. When they brought a replacement, it was barely toasted and the owner had touched it with his hands. When I asked if this was supposed to be toasted, he rudely asked, "What do you want?"
Then, the owner came back and started saying, "Oh, I apologized, what else do you want?" He did no such thing and had the audacity to raise his voice at me.
I wanted our food, including my 5-year-old's. They dumped the plates on our table, forgetting condiments and the extra sides we ordered, so I had to chase them down again even the syrup. Then, they both vanished. My omelette had clearly been sitting out for at least 15 minutes; it was absolutely disgusting. I should have taken a picture. We were then left without a bill for another 15 minutes with no staff in sight.
The waiter's performance was bad enough, but the owner's handling of the situation was absolutely shameful. It was appalling to see how they treated a mom with a 5-year-old. My child wouldn’t touch the food by the end because he was over-hungry and filled up on juice. This was a disgusting experience from...

All I wanted was a note left to say I was owed an eggs benedict. Very simple.
I placed an order over Uber. I got the wrong order due to hostess mistake. I called and was informed I had to reorder through uber. I said ok and went to do that. FYI I am not overly computer literate. Going through Uber to get replacement they wanted a picture etc. My computer does not have a camera so I would have to take one using a different device, send to my computer upload it etc. I have tried doing things like that and can get it figured out eventually but it takes a while. I called back to Coras and just asked for a credit (to get the eggs benedict at a later time. Not get the money back) I was refused by the Manager. He would not give me his name, nor would the person he passed me off to give me his name (only wanted the first name not the whole thing) He yelled at me, he refused to help me and then threatened to call the police on me for harassment. I wanted to speak to a proper manager, if I could not do that I was phoning head office and wanted to be able to give his name. The food that was sent instead of eggs Benedictine was a club sandwich I was told. I did not eat it. The bread was burnt and it just did not look appetizing to me. I do not drive at this time due to illness and had no on that could go pick it up right away or even within a few hours. Today is my Birthday. I have not had eggs benedict for a long time and thought I would treat myself. CORA'S RESTAURANT, FAIRVIEW STREET IN BURLINGTON ruined the...
Read moreNot impressed. We’ve gone there many times and had friendly and prompt service but this morning we went for breakfast, could see many open seats and yet we were left waiting at the door for 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged by a waitress to say someone will be with you soon. That same waitress 5 minutes later realized we were still at the door waiting and a line was building so she told the hostess to take care of us. Hostess sat us down without saying anything. We sat and a few minutes later an entitled group of customers arrived after us they were sat immediately cause they made a stink about where the hostess sat them, and had a waitresses attention immediately, she got drink orders and were ordering food before our waitress came over and said “hi I’ll be over in a minute” for the first time. A few minutes later our waitress took both our drink and food order because we’d had enough time to look at the menu and then left. What sucked was she never brought us cups or drinks but went through and filled up everyone’s coffee in our section. The original waitress who seemed to be the only observant one in the room asked an older couple that arrived after us also if their server had been by yet, while we were getting up to leave and asked us the same. She was aware that the new people weren’t being served within a reasonable time frame and was trying to help but we still left to go to a different brunch spot. Don’t think we will go back to that location. I’ve been there on busier days and had way...
