đŠKawartha Dairy â Ice Cream Mayhem & Magic in Burlington! đŠ
Okay okay okay...let me tell yâall what went down at Kawartha Dairy, Fairview St. First off, this was my first time ever stepping into this place (yes, I'm a newbie, but not that old, thank you very much đ). From the outside, it looked simple, like, âHey, grab a cone and go.â But OH NO, this was not just a scoop shop. This was an ice cream experience.
Outside, it was already lit. People chilling on benches, some standing, some leaning, some straight-up pacing like they were waiting for an ice cream prophecy to be fulfilled. No drama, no judgment, no weird vibes, just people vibing hard with their cones. And let me tell you⊠they were eating like there was no tomorrow. I had a âwaoooâ moment right then and there.
We walked in, and bam, it felt like home. The vibe? Cozy. The smells? Dairy dreams. Milk, cheese, shaved ice sure, all great. But we came for that ICE CREAM, baby! We joined the line like good citizens, about 20 people deep. Everyone looked like they were preparing for a spiritual moment with their dessert. I spotted an elderly couple in front of us, and even they looked like kids on Christmas Eve. đ„č
Then I looked at the fridge where this ice cream was and still is right now at this moment. 50+ FLAVORS. I said, "WHAT THE FLAVOR HEAVEN IS THIS?!" It was Ice Cream Heavenâą.
My inner child immediately had a meltdown. I couldnât decide. Should I go classic? Crazy? Chocolate volcano lava crunch triple berry marshmallow surprise? (No, that oneâs not real, but it could be.)ICE-CREAM
Eventually, decisions were made. Ladies first, of course. I heroically volunteered to go last. đ As I waited, I casually said, "LIKE A SOLDIER âGive me the huge one.â I said. Because go big or go brain-freeze, right?
Then⊠it happened.
Mean while everything was getting prepared. I saw that same elderly couple? The gentleman was still making his holy selection. But the lady? She was already deep in her cone, and yâall, I SWEAR her scoop was amolst half the size of her face. I said, âMaâam, thatâs a HUGE ice cream!â She looked me dead in the eye and said with a mouthful of joy: âThis? This is the baby size.â I was like!!!! EXCUSE ME, WHAT THE FUDGE RIPPLE?! đłđŠ I time travel to the past and said, I saw the baby choice in the menĂș but my choice was huge what was I thinking!!!!!!
I nearly dropped to my knees in respect. This Granma was not playing games. She was living her best life, and I was inspired.
Then it was our turn. When we got our ICE-CREAM, they where 3 âHugeâ mountain balls of ICE-CREAM in a cup !!!! People turned. Cameras didnât flash, but they couldâve. One kid whispered to his parents, âI want that one.â Another person asked, âAre you gonna finish that?â I said, âWith dignity and sticky fingers, YES.â đ
We made a mess face, hands, shirt, shoes, car, floor. I think a bit ended up in another dimension. And you know what? ZERO REGRETS. That ice cream was a masterpiece. Sweet chaos. A sugary symphony of joy. Brain-freeze included.
Kawartha Dairy? 10 outta 10. Huge scoops. Friendly staff. No discrimination. Everyone gets a mountain of happiness. Whether youâre 5 or 95, this place will make you feel like a kid again (but with better flavor decisions⊠maybe).
So if youâre reading this:
đ GO. đ Order big. đ Embrace the mess. đ And if you see that legendary ice cream grandma⊠tell her I said respect. đ
Like, comment, laugh, and share the ice cream gospel. Catch you in the next...

As long-time residents of Ontario who have grown up loving the quality products from Kawartha Dairy, our family was filled with anticipation and excitement upon hearing that a new branch had opened right here in Burlington. This excitement is shared by many in the community, indicating just how much Kawartha Dairy is cherished and how significant its presence is for us locals.
Upon our visit, it was immediately clear that we were not alone in our enthusiasm. The store was completely packed, buzzing with customers eager to taste the familiar flavors we have all come to adore. The large crowd is a testament to the brandâs appeal and its strong connection with ice cream lovers across the province.
However, despite the vibrant crowd and the undeniable popularity of Kawartha Dairy, several aspects of the store's setup were notably lacking, particularly considering the needs of families and large groups who frequent ice cream shops as a leisure destination. The interior of the store, though spacious, was not optimized to handle the influx of over a hundred customers smoothly. There were only three or four tables available for seating, which were quickly occupied. This was inadequate for the number of visitors and led to many families standing awkwardly while trying to enjoy their ice cream.
A significant portion of the indoor space was taken up by a long table filled with impulse purchase items that seemed to attract little interest from customers. This not only wasted valuable space but also contributed to the sense of crowding around the ice cream service areas, making it difficult for customers to move about freely and comfortably. The layout did not facilitate an easy flow for placing orders either, with the line system appearing disorganized and chaotic at times.
Another point of contention was a large table in the corner of the store, which was covered with employees' laptops and other work-related items. When we inquired if it could be cleared to provide additional seating for customers, the staff seemed unprepared for such a request. It felt as if the possibility of needing extra space for patrons during peak times had not been considered.
Despite these organizational flaws, our love for Kawartha Dairy remains strong, and our desire to support a local business that has brought us many delightful memories is unwavering. We are hopeful and indeed optimistic that the management will take note of these issues and implement changes to enhance the layout and customer experience.
Furthermore, considering the store's location in a busy plaza, it would be beneficial to explore options for outdoor seating. A few additional benches or tables outside the storefront could make a significant difference, offering more space for customers to relax and enjoy their treats, especially during busy hours.
In conclusion, while our first experience at the new Burlington location had its disappointments, our excitement for what Kawartha Dairy brings to our community remains intact. We look forward to seeing how this beloved brand evolves its new space. With some thoughtful reorganization and customer-focused enhancements, I believe Kawartha Dairy can continue to be a cherished gathering spot for ice cream lovers in Burlington for many...

Hi everyone! Buckle up, because this is not just a reviewâitâs an epic dairy tale. So⊠I finally went to Kawartha Dairy for the first time ever (yes, Iâve been living under a lactose-intolerant rock, apparently). I kept seeing it blow up on TikTokâpeople yelling at their screens like: âITâS LIFE-CHANGING! YOU HAVE TO GO!!!â And naturally, I said: Challenge accepted.
đBurlington location. I pull upâoutside looks normal. Too normal. People casually licking cones, kids with sticky hands, some dude looking like he just proposed to a waffle cone. The air? 30°C of full-blown summer glory. The mood? Sweet chaos.
I strutted inside like I was entering the finale of MasterChef: Ice Cream Edition. Pulled out my phoneâCAMERA: ON, TikTok mode activated. Iâm filming the vibe, the walls, the humans, the napkin holder. I was basically the Scorsese of soft serve at that point.
Then⊠I saw it. The menu. 40 FLAVOURS. I blacked out for a second from sheer dairy excitement.
I was like: Do I want âMoose Tracksâ? âSalty Caramel Truffleâ? âCotton Candy Unicorn Dreams of Childhood Memoriesâ? My soul was not ready. But my stomach was yelling: WE RIDE AT DAWN.
The ice cream goddess behind the counter offered me three tasters. Me: âOnly three?? Maâam, I need emotional support and a tasting tray the size of a pizza.â But I played it cool. Carnival vibes were strongâpeople laughing, kids screaming, someoneâs grandma eyeing the banana split like it owed her money. It was WAR in there. Sweet, creamy war.
And me? I went big. ActuallyâI went Titanic-level big. Three scoops stacked like a Jenga tower of happiness.
As I made my grand exit, people gasped. One lady whispered: âHowâs she gonna finish that??â I looked her dead in the eye and said: âIâm on a diet⊠but not TODAY!â đââïž
The heat was brutal. Ice cream melting like it had bills to pay. I panicked. I did the unthinkable. I shoved my face right in it. No shame. Nose, chin, probably earsâall covered in pure creamy joy.
AND IT WAS GLORIOUS.
$7 for a mountain of magic. Dairy Queen? We had a good run⊠but itâs over. Kawarthaâs the main character now.
Iâll be back. With a bib. And a cooler. Peace outâgo...
