They've been out of the potato tacos the last 3 or 4 times I've been, and one time I even waited in line more than 10 minutes to find out. Today they weren't busy at all yet they were still out and it's still early in the day. Very frustrating because they're the only palatable item on the menu.
Edit 07/01/19: Came back a few weeks ago to get the free potato tacos I was promised. I asked if they still had some and they said yes, and then after 10 minutes of waiting I was told they were out of stock. I was quite upset and confused, and the worker told me they had dropped my tacos and didn't have any more. After speaking with the supervisor I was told that they didn't actually drop them, but that they were burned (because the workers were too busy chatting and socializing in the back to watch the grill). The supervisor and workers were really defensive, made excuses, and lied to me instead of admitting they messed up again. The whole team is really unprofessional and rude. Today, I finally got the free tacos I was promised, albeit slightly overcooked. I will not...
Read moreChronic Taco at New West always had great service, so we decided to try the Metrotown location since the New West location closed. We were super disappointed in the service at Metrotown. We had to wait awhile for our food to be ready which is understandable. But when everything was finally ready the cashier stapled the bags shut. We opened them before leaving to make sure everything was there & we were missing an item so we politely told the cashier that. She immediately yelled at us and said everything was in the bag. We were shocked by her reaction in becoming super defensive and when we showed her and she realized that she was in the wrong she offered no apology which we found to be unprofessional. You would think that the staff would be more empathetic to the customers but unfortunately that wasn't the case. We are very turned off by this location and do not see ourselves returning...
Read moreI generally enjoy the food at Chronic Taco. Today, I ordered a breakfast burrito and was asked to pay first, which was fine because it takes a few minutes to make. They didn't give me a receipt. After several minutes, it started to get busier and a few more staff were serving customers. I asked for a receipt since there were people going ahead of me and I didn't want to get asked to pay again. The server might have misunderstood and kind of yelled at me that I'll get my food when the food is ready. I didn't know how to respond, so he kind of yelled at me again that I'll get my food when my food is ready. Not the typical experience I have here, but enough that I'll think twice about eating here...
