I wanted to like this place, I was really excited for it while waiting for it open. Unfortunately I turned out disappointed. I'm not really a picky eater and I like most food, so far this is the only none 5 star review I've left a restaurant, but I found the food from here underwhelming. For the price the portions are small and the food isn't good enough to make up for it. The wagyu beef dumpling were decent, but nothing to write home about. The mac and cheese dumplings had too much pepper which took away from the mac and cheese flavor. The zesty peanut tempura chicken bites I got were dry and did not match the picture. I don't think I got any peanut sauce on mine because I don't taste any peanut at all. I don't know if I will order from here again. I might try the peanut butter and jelly dumplings with ice cream next time, but I'm bummed with my first time...
Read moreDid a progressive dinner along 17 Ave with the hubs and stopped into Brooklyn Dumpling Shop to try their 5 pc Wagyu beef dumplings. They were full sized and absolutely delicious, a great deal for $8. We had our eye on the crispy apple pie dessert dumplings so we went back a couple hrs later. Ended up getting the apple píe and PB&J and they were both so good! Next time I definitely want to try the Bok Choy ginger and pork & kimchi dumplings... and hibachi noodles...and the time after that maybe a bowl or the firecracker chicken sandwich with waffle fries... There are plenty of options to keep us coming back, and everything is very decently priced, especially for 17 Ave and especially these days. I definitely recommend trying this...

We ordered the wagyu beef, the chicken, and Korean beef all pan fried, not deep fried
The flavours of the wagyu beef and chicken were decent but nothing remarkable. I found the flavours to be quite dull even with the sauce. The Korean beef seemed to have a gritty texture within the filling and the dumpling itself was just too doughy. The first to get a 2/5 but the Korean beef gets a 1/5

Overall if you want more modern dumplings ex. cheese burger then you came to the right spot, if you're looking for classic go...
