Nice place! Love all the wood around, huge fan. Nice chill music. Friendly staff. Food and drinks are decently priced. The pizza is about a 12” give or take and thin crust. We had a pepperoni one and then asked them to add pineapple which they did. The pepperoni was very very good, haven’t had pepperoni like that from a pizza place since I was visiting NYC... it’s legit. The pineapple was cut uniquely for a pizza place, it was cut very thin like you would cut a tomato instead of cubed like you normally get. Cool idea and spread out the pineapple flavour so it didn’t overpower the other flavours. More places need to do this. Even the chili flake was good, this is such a minor detail but really makes the pizza (if you use them). It’s hard to describe a chili flake but it tasted fresh, for lack of a better word. So often you go to a pizza place and the chili flakes have been sitting in a glass shaker for years, these came in a little cup with a spoon. The only downside to our experience was that it was pissing rain and we couldn’t sit on the amazing patio they had set up. We are from out of town but I can promise next time we are here we will be coming back. If you like pizza and alcohol, why would you even bother going anywhere else. I’ll never be able to eat Dominos again.

I’ve been to UNA 17th Avenue multiple times because we really enjoy the food; however, the service is not always great. But today, without a doubt, was exceptionally awful. This was by far the worst service experience I’ve received in Calgary, and our waitress made sure of that. We made a reservation today, March 17th, for 2 o'clock, and when I got there, the waitress took more than 27 minutes to even come up to the table, and when she did, it was only to serve me a cup of water and didn’t even ask to take my order, mind you the restaurant was not busy. When my friend arrived to meet me at the restaurant, she came over to give me my food and did not ask her if she wanted anything. We were struggling to get an order of drinks and food in, so when we got a hold of her, we made sure to order everything at once because we did not know when she would come back. After this awful experience, I was very disappointed and left no tip; this upset her as she felt entitled to a good tip after having barely served my table and proceeded to rip the machine out of my hand. I definitely DO NOT recommend this location. If you want to enjoy UNA food, I would go to any other location except 17th Avenue. She never gave me her name, but she was the only blonde, blue-eyed girl working at this time.

This review would probably closer to the 4.5 than the 4, but since I can't give them we'll have to do 4. Today (August Long) there was quite a bit of a wait - roughly 1 hr - which is totally understandable given the date. Once given a table, everything was clean and perfectly sanitized. Ervin (sorry if I misspelled it) was our server tonight. He was fantastic. Thanks for making our dinner much better and helping with your suggestions and overall great attitude. We had the homemade ricotta + honey + brioche and it was delicious. We really liked it. We saved some to dip our pizza in! We also had the prosciutto pizza. Overall, the pizza was yummy, but I have to say that, based on previous experience on similar pizzas, this was a bit on the heavier size. I personally would have preferred a lighter version, but nothing too bad, just personal preference. Where I think the was a bit of room to improve was in the dough and crust. I think it was slightly overcooked. Still enjoyable, but a bit less cooked would have been better in my opinion. The overall experience was super satisfactory and definetly recommend Una!

I have been a loyal customer of Una for many years, but it has been a while since I have dined-in.

My friend and I booked a reservation to celebrate her birthday and we were initially greeted very warmly and were treated with Soda’s on the house. We absolutely loved it.

Our server made a mistake on our order (we ordered Fried garlic bread instead of Arancini) she allowed us to keep the Arancini and got us the right order right away.

About 1.25 hours after we were seated, we finally get our pizza. The restaurant was about 40% full, not overly busy but I could tell the waitress was a little stressed. She came by to check in on other tables but seemed to have skipped over ours at least twice. Our waters were also not topped off during our time there and when we were waiting for our pizzas she never came by to explain what the delay was.

At about 2 hours into our dining experience, we have been waiting so long between meals that we had to leave, and the server again never came by to ask how we were doing, clear our plates or if we needed the bill/take out boxes. We tried to politely get the servers attention twice, trying to catch her eye contact many times. She came to check in on the tables adjacent to us and even within close proximity I was politely asking “excuse me” to get her attention and ignored, twice. I ended up going up to the counter to grab the boxes myself because we really needed to get going and have been waiting for so long.

I still left an honest tip for the aforementioned experience above but I am really quite disappointed in this location’s service this time. Its dining experiences like this that encourages me to only...

I have been ordering regularly from UNA on 17th and at all times the Pizzas are on point, Delicious and Toothsome. Their customer service is always outstanding, welcoming and helpful to recommendations. My past visit was Dine-in on February 14th at around 7:00 p.m. and like always they were busy, this time it was the busiest I have ever seen, because this was my 3rd time Dining -In. Unfortunately we were at Bad luck that evening with our food taking the longest ever, more than 50 minutes for their Pan fried dumpling daily special (Very less to No stuffing, Crispy and light coating with tasty sauce) The Pizza was mouthwatering as always. I totally understand of the restaurant being very busy that evening, But it took about 40 minutes for the management to realize that the Food on our table was delayed in an untimely manner. There was no communication for about 40 minutes on any update on our order or if we would like to have our pizza before the appetizer was being made. The situation was taken care of professionally, the management accepted their mistake and even apologized for any inconveniences. All I would say is, please communicate with your fellow dinners or update them with Food preparation timings. Yes the server did say that food will take longer than usual, but I am sure it was well delayed due to pan fried dumplings. I am writing this review to let y’all know my experience, I will still be ordering from UNA for their excellent service and delicious...

Clearly the experience here is variable. Mine was horrible! I ate there today and, given the high prices, I expected a fresh pizza. The first piece was good however, in eating the second piece the crust was so cold it became clear that the pizza (or at least the crust) was frozen and was not cooked long enough to defrost it let alone heat it completely. They took it back and replaced it however, the staff were extremely rude to us in doing so. Because of the delay in having to wait for the second pizza my vehicle was at risk of being towed away. They told me I could move my car a couple of blocks away. I explained that, as a disabled person, I could not do this without assistance to get through the snow bank. Their response was that it was too bad. Therefore, I had to take the rest of my meal to go. I was very surprised when I went to pay the bill to find they had not discounted anything - despite the problems I had with the meal and the inconvenience THEIR delay had caused. When I asked about this, the Manager begrudgingly took the cost of the drinks off. Seriously? Mistakes happen at most restaurants, but it is in how the staff handle those mistakes that determines whether your customers return or not. I will not return to Una Pizza - rudest staff ever and worst customer service I have found in a...
